Hi all,

I need to decide on the point for my CCTV. As per the picture below, I plant to put a full height double layer curtain (curtain + sheer) for my front sliding door (red line), and will have a CCTV point at the corner (blue circle). May I know how far (green arrow) shall I put the CCTV point away from the front wall? Is 8" (200mm) be enough for the curtain to move freely?

Thanks

Yes 20cm should be sufficient. I use 20cm for my smart curtain + sheer, it have enough space to accomodate the 2 motors also

You can go to hardware shop and brought 1 pcs double rail curtain bracket to measure. Cost RM1.

Won't be longer than 100mm (if not mistaken)

Why place the cctv at that point? The door and sliding door will be blindspot. Why not place the cctv focusing on the door and sliding door ?

Thanks for the replies. Will allocate 20cm to be safe. Ya I see from the hanger specs, the length is not so long but will allow some space for the pleats as well.

About the camera positioning, actually it's more for me to monitor the kids in the house, so that I can see from front right back to the kitchen. I have got 2 cameras at the car porch, 1 facing out, another 1 facing the 2 entrance doors which I guess should be sufficient?

You can go ahead with 20cm as it has more than enough space for both curtain and sheer ( 2 layer)
