Without signing any rental agreement, can landlord forfeit rental deposit because of short notice of moving out.

No black and white, the moment you hand over deposit its good as gone if your landlord is not honest.

how do you event proof you Given to him?
You also shd know that short notice period is subject to Certain condition/Penalty...
Whats the problem now?

The notice period doesnt count as giving in 2 weeks or something. It it not like you tender resign letter, it doesnt work the same
The moment you give notice, Owner is taking your deposit 1 month to deduct for your last month....
There is no such thing as 2 weeks thing, unless you pay last month also. when was your last payment?

Can, and that's what it is for. But it should be mentioned in Tenancy Agreement under what kind of circumstance it can be forfeited and landlord need to show repair receipts etc.

rightfully, if your deposit is 1 month, and you inform him on 15th Sep, then you shd be able to get back half month
Or, if you able to help him find a replacement tenant. then you could still safe your deposit.

common sense apply
