Look like the contractor is not skilled enough in doing piping works. I work in HVAC company dealing CHWP and PCWP. Most of the smaller piping connection also used threaded joint and can withstand up to 60-90PSI when pressure test while the actuall running pressure is just around 30-40psi

Copper is soft. Too tight and connection will be become and leak instead. If the pressure is not high maybe can try soldering instead of using threaded types.

Pressure is small since the hot water system is not connected to any booster pumps. The connection they use is brass type with plastic ring. But I think it is too late to change all the fittings to soldered type since he has completed the piping works.

Should be still can work on such cut out the threaded part and put a short copper pipe and solder both end. Just need to solder two times. If conceal then hailat liao
