w00t another upgrade to the layout? like the last layout change about 1/2 year ago only?

Facebook has turned on a new feature for select groups of Facebook users (mainly in India) called "Facebook Lite" which is essentially a cut down, faster loading edition of Facebooks user interface that scarily looks more and more like twitter (or even friendfeed).

Users who are being offered a place in the beta are receiving the message:
We are building a faster, simpler version of Facebook that we call Facebook Lite. It's not finished yet and we have plenty of kinks to work out, but we would love to get your feedback on what we have built so far.

is it recently facebook can't save cookies even though i ticked remember me?? guess due to the recent hackings kuar so they off the cookies saving?

Facebook enables location services called "Places" [Update]

Techcrunch is reporting that Facebook has annouced that it's brand new location service goes live tonight, dubbed "Facebook Places." The new service is similar to that of Foursquare, and allows users to check in, as well as geotag photos to a location.

The integration was actually leaked slightly early today, as shown by Techcrunch in the below screenshots, and Facebook says that the rollout begins tonight with the iPhone app, as well as the "Facebook Touch" website. Mark Zuckerberg says the service has three purposes: "[To] help you share where you are. Help you see who's around you. And see what's going on nearby."

Facebook Places is available to US users only for now.
