Yeoh - all at once
Scarmarcio - John Wick 2 baddie
Fey - 30 rock and the other rom com in 2000s (esp the one with Steve Carrell)
Dornan - 30 gray shades laugh.gif brows.gif
Of course mr poirot himself ken great actor especially bad guy role and great director too in his own way
Definitely the most star studded line-up ever assembled in the poirot universe laugh.gif rclxms.gif
Also a happy return 4 our Datin 2 finally break away from that typical asian stereotype role
Everlyn Wang story is the most asian story ever and it will not be topped ever again Joy Luck Club got its successor already *full stop*

A Haunting in Venice (2023)

Honestly.... I have never read an Agatha Christie book.

Based on research, the script for this movie is based on her, Hallowe'en Party book.

They had changed the location of the book from the English countryside to.... Venice... hence the title....

I believe many a people maybe excited for this movie because our national pride Datuk Michelle Yeoh is in it.... and she is in it for like 5 minutes.... give or take.

Admittedly, the minutes she is in the movie, she did steal the scenes and for that I am grateful. smile.gif

Tina Fey is actually great here too.

The first half of this movie is pure Kenneth Branagh, there is a "lightness" and "humor" to it.

The second half of the movie got heavy....

So many dark secrets.

Sooo many burdens.

The very last reveal, how does the person carry that....

Like the first two movies, there is a health dose of cynicism, and I have to add it still did not prepare me for this movies level of it...

If you like the first two movies, you will like this two!

No wonder I kept trying to remember what novel was that….adaptation with change of place.
I hope they will adapt these 4 into movies
1. Murder on the links
2. Who killed Roger Akroyd
3. The big 4
4. Curtain : Poirot last case.

I find these 4 very enjoyable.
