My house ceiling height is 9 ft and plan to do plaster ceiling 3-4 inch lower. I have measured from original ceiling height to my raised up finger, the gap is about 19 inch. After minus plaster ceiling 4 inch, the left over is 15 inch. Is there any recommended low ceiling fan model from panasonic or KDK? Please advise.

9 feet is rather low... even most condo standard height is 10 feet..

Is that an old house you plan to renovate?

Nope. It's a new house. Just got the key few months ago. If not, what can you recommend me to do? Don't do plaster ceiling or only do L-box at the side?

What would you think happened when the fan blades are close to ceiling . Probably weak air flow and perhaps noisier.

Try to consider a wall-mounted fan.

Those DC powered model from Panasonic is rather short in height, especially their baby fan if you don't mind.

Forget Bayu series

Use wall fan is a better idea. Because of physics you would have a tough time avoiding disco light.
