In strate landed gateless environment, can you park your car outside the "gate"? I.e. on the pavement/margin between your house and the main road?

depends on individual management policy, some not allow at all, some allow limited to visitor, some limit number of permanent (non visitor)

Your JMC will define the parking guildine for all residents to follow. It depend on the design also.

Take example, my friends house due to serious and non stop arguments btw owners, end up go have to through 3 round of voting by all owners and finalise as final resolution to avoid further dispute, all house limit with two cars only in car porch, all visitors parking are not allowed for residents to park and extra car have to park at outside. Whether visitor can stay overnight or not, I not sure, but I remember his girlfriend also park her car outside.

But for my house, I can park up to four cars, because from my car porch pilar still got 10 feet of common area before reach the tarmac road. So I can park 2 cars in car porch, 2 cars on common area, as long as it does not touch the tarmac road.

just my thought, as long as not block or inconvenient to others, being civilized, should be fine.

Parking issue, littering still considered small matters.

My own experienced was the resident bring many abandoned cars and park at roadside, don't know why he want to do that. Even report to mbkj, he still manage to move them away before officer came then next few days bring them back.
Another neighbour run motorbike workshop, always brinf the motor back to repair at home, sometimes will test run in our Taman making huge noise.

My strata landed, just few month ago got strict enforcement on parking issue due to resident car park at side curb got scratch by transporter lorry.. lorry driver don't want to pay and ask to go 'report polis'..

Now every house need to follow guideline.. 2 cars park in porch, plus 1 car park in front gate not exceeding the curb.. additional car need to park at garden area (there is additional car park lot).. else area car will be clamp..

So please refer your house management for parking guideline..

The garden area is visitor parking zone? If yes then your JMB still very kind. My new house now don't allow resident to park at visitor parking. Waiting to see drama in year end AGM

By right if all owner only buy up to 4 cars should be fine, but saw some owner got 6 cars, lol

Have you seen the roads in BU6 in Bandar Utama? The Developer really max the built up space until the road becomes single lane when all the residents park their 3rd 4th 5th car along the roads. BU folks are upper middle class (generally). So for non strata development, u can't actually do anything if your neighbour parks his 5th car on the curb opposite your road or next to you house. I was left with angry notes before by residents who told me where i shouldn't park my car eventhough i wasn't blocking anyone. For strata developments, at least the JMB/MC can regulate where one can and cannot park his car.

The additional car park at garden area not reserved for visitor? How is it fair for residents to park there? They need to pay?

Surely strata landed cannot park at side curb...so cheap.

Which strata landed is this?

With current house occupancy rate around 80%, that area still have around 40% empty car lots during weekdays and 50% on weekend..

As this guideline still new.. enforce for just past few months, no extra charge to resident car park there.. but not sure in future as management/ rules will change..

see- we got this typical mentality la.
me and many others included.

sour grape those w strata and say so much restriction.

indeed- some have limited parking even for owner.... struggle to park 3 cars.
the visitor parking also limited and far away

then common respond by visitor is like...

wah, so strict one. macam lots of rules.
easily get sounded by guard, or look down by other owners
so mafan, need to walk so far.

thats the feeling every time i go friend house as setia eco park
when friend arrive - he need to stand outside the house direct to park here, align there.

i feel stressful, but he feel his place atas la.

not to mention long que at security guard house.

town planning fail for developer and local council never force them to prepare enough parking for owner :X should at least estimate 4 cars per house. I know Condo sure got this issue, never expect G & G also having similar issue bangwall.gif

like go putrajaya, the residents parking porch is small, then one family has a few cars, all park at the road side, endup the road only can pass through 1 car, if bomba wana cross also cannot, face palm.
