There's a lot of bike styles out there. Just curious to know what's the general taste out there among this LYN group. There are 6 styles in the list. Choose your fav and maybe add a few lines why you prefer that particular style.

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Sep 14 2023, 09:07 AM) Useless poll.. hahaha... Moto boys where can settle with only 1 bike? Each bike style for each riding style. So it depends on what and how we ride. Street, naked, or scooter Highway , ADV or sport touring Off road, kapchai with knobbies. Personally, I have no preference. Sportbikes are nice but getting too old for the ergos. Yup, depends on what gets you best. Let's say, it is just one bike that you can have and own. I have friends who has several bikes for different purposes and also friends who must choose one bike for as many purposes they use it for. So, not that useless lah

QUOTE(basilisk @ Sep 14 2023, 12:59 PM) by the way ts lowprois that your bike tht ur trying to sell..? saw one... consider rare stuff... Yup, that's my SV up for sale. It is an X so it comes with the sportbike posture but without a sportbike fairing. Someone asked me if it was possible to convert it back to a non X model...I told him it would not make financial sense and better instead to look for a used non X. People buy the X for what it is.

QUOTE(basilisk @ Sep 14 2023, 02:21 PM) lol farney d fler... change handle bar, the pegs got go up? Pegs at same position. It only changes the rider triangle to be a little more comfortable. But the cost is not worth it IMHO. Not just the handles, the cables need to be changed as well.

QUOTE(alexei @ Sep 14 2023, 03:52 PM) the 'reluctant sale' belongs to you? I've been drooling at it for a few days now.... but, why? A few key matters but my job doesn't allow me much time to ride for now so I might as well let it go to someone who can appreciate it better. It has just 7700km on the clock. For a bike registered in 2021, that's quite low. It is a 2019 bike by the way. I'll get back to biking for sure in about 2 years. Till then I'll take short rides if I feel the urge on my brother's bikes.

QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Sep 14 2023, 06:37 PM) quite a good number prefer naked bikes from the poll Ya I noticed too. This is aligned with the products brought out by manufacturers as well. I thought they just made it because of the global market without much regard to our tiny market. Hence, I was wondering about the situation in Malaysia, whether or not it followed the global landscape. But I am glad that CF Moto (500SR & 650SR), QJ (600RC) and the Japanese big 4 are coming back with fully faired bikes, whether full (or mini) sports bike like the ZX25R or ZX4R. or those based on nakeds like the R7, the R9, maybe the GSX8R and also the CBR750 based on the Hornet. I love fully faired bikes though...

QUOTE(alexei @ Sep 14 2023, 08:43 PM) that's the exact cafe racer model I like is it easy to carry a pillion? I notice it doesn't have the grab bar It is easy. Rear seat a little narrow though so if passenger butt not too wide should be oklah. Passenger can either grab the centre strap or your tummy

QUOTE(alexei @ Sep 15 2023, 08:57 AM) that bike must be so full of character hope to see you on the road someday If the SVX has been sold, I can still take my brother's Dominar 400 or CFMoto 650GT or R25 plus, he still has the Naza Cruise 650 and other weird bikes.

QUOTE(basilisk @ Sep 15 2023, 11:04 AM) full fairing bikes, im interested in middle weight tourers like the cfmoto 650gt, tht can sit almost straight.. current trend, no major brand got style like this... for middle weight class la suma mao abit adventure style... cfmoto me still tak brani oh.... if unlucky sadai kat mforce fak lo.. kenot find service manual.. reliable sparepart shop or runner frm china oso kenot find yet.. From my bro's bike, the signal light stalks don't last. He's using aftermarket front and rear signal lights. Engine no issues though. I do like that genre of bikes too.

Looks like the vote is still for naked bikes. Even with sport bikes and sport tourers added, still cannot match the numbers for naked bikes...I guess I will do another poll (and add in retros) in a few months just to see the trend by numbers. I thought the ADV fan base would be higher though with so many GS and GSA running around. Thanks all for participating.
