Useless poll.. hahaha...
Moto boys where can settle with only 1 bike?

Each bike style for each riding style. So it depends on what and how we ride.

Street, naked, or scooter
Highway , ADV or sport touring
Off road, kapchai with knobbies.

Personally, I have no preference. Sportbikes are nice but getting too old for the ergos.

hehe, maybe a poll like "how many bikes do you want?"
then, name them in the comments

I'll probably "sportsbike" everything

then again, for practical reasons I'm looking at XJ6, SV650, Versys (a bit too heavy I fear)

Yup, that's my SV up for sale. It is an X so it comes with the sportbike posture but without a sportbike fairing. Someone asked me if it was possible to convert it back to a non X model...I told him it would not make financial sense and better instead to look for a used non X. People buy the X for what it is.

the 'reluctant sale' belongs to you?
I've been drooling at it for a few days now.... but, why?

A few key matters but my job doesn't allow me much time to ride for now so I might as well let it go to someone who can appreciate it better. It has just 7700km on the clock. For a bike registered in 2021, that's quite low. It is a 2019 bike by the way. I'll get back to biking for sure in about 2 years. Till then I'll take short rides if I feel the urge on my brother's bikes.

that's the exact cafe racer model I like
is it easy to carry a pillion? I notice it doesn't have the grab bar

It is easy. Rear seat a little narrow though so if passenger butt not too wide should be oklah. Passenger can either grab the centre strap or your tummy  biggrin.gif

that bike must be so full of character
hope to see you on the road someday

If the SVX has been sold, I can still take my brother's Dominar 400 or CFMoto 650GT or R25 plus, he still has the Naza Cruise 650 and other weird bikes.

dude, sell your brother, keep his bikes.... tongue.gif

you do know the SVX is limited units, right?
then again, a bike is a bike, someday better ones will come along when time is right

ADVs are indeed popular. But for those that actually do go off road, we know better to go with something lighter and lower. Besides there is a significant ADV tax on the bikes.

Those big GSs are mainly used as highway mile munchers, and great in that role. Or perhaps the big bike ADV demographics are different from the ones in this forum, both in size of our wallets and size of our stature. I for one can't see myself trying to muscle a tall 260kg, 150k bike on the soft stuff.....

Got finish? Machiam all DNF leh.

Hahaha.

Not to throw dirt on the GS. it's an immensely capable bike. But not for me. I neither got the skill nor size to handle a machine of that size.

I don't even wanna look at it, for many reasons haha, doesn't mean those who got it are wrong

Tomorrow go checkout the CBR hope all goes well

And yeah, I check the gearing of D400 and Duke 390.... it's geared to max at 140, wth lah.

It'll do 155. Buts that's not saying much. Definitely needs a rear sprocket downsize. I'm running 3T down. Top speed now is about 165 without my panniers.

Good luck on the CBR hunt.

thanks for the numbers... is that matched against GPS?
CBR to replace my 2 stroke, more comfortable, heavier, with box
