Currently, home using Caddx alarm system (installed in 1996). The system uses numberpads, and at one time can be configured to call owners outside with dedicated phone number. That has been removed. No app/wiifi function. Just standard beep codes. Never used it. There was an option to disable/enable by calling, used few times and forgot how to set it up.

Currently home undergoing renovations, and contractors have damaged most of the alarm wiring system. As most of the wires and sensors are 90s or changed once, I don't think this alarm is sustainable into the future. Changed the motherboard with some generic motherboard since no parts. Usually change battery every 5 years. The battery act as an UPS when blackouts occur (which is rarely nowdays).

Current alarm setting:
3 Door sensor
2 sliding window door
9 Vibration sensor for windows
1 IR roof sensor (no longer required now with new roof material).
3 alarm keypads
2 alarm buzzers(1 outdoor, 1 indoor)
2 auto light-on when buzzing. Indoor and outdoor.

Can anyone recommend alarm system? Is a wired solution better or a DIY kit purchse from shoppee/lazada ok?

I m still using the 90's alarm. It just won't die.

But it cannot notify out anymore as it uses a dial tone.

If the system installed 27yrs ago and ur house is now under renovation, better lay new set of alarm cable and change the system.
If u don't mind to do some maintenance for your alarm in the future (Change sensor's battery), u can use wireless alarm.
