Since Apple Online Store delivery ETAs are a long way more to go, I wonder if the APR outlets will have ready stock or just take orders.[2024] Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Satin Black

QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 16 2023, 04:48 PM) Congrats!!! I guess for now I will still wait for AAPR to release their units. Can get up to RM200+ rebate with certain CC. But will also see how. If the wait is too long, then I may resort to Apple Online too. βΊοΈπ |

Thanks to our fellow newbuyer, walked in straight to Machines Damansara Uptown and grabbed one. π€©βΊοΈπ€πΌ
Machines staff said the stock just arrived early afternoon. Heard from them that many other branches have received the new stocks today too. Indigo Alpine Loop Ultra 2 reporting in π«°πΌ ![]() This post has been edited by shockk: Oct 19 2023, 06:52 PM |

QUOTE(soulz69 @ Oct 19 2023, 08:22 PM) M Size QUOTE(soulz69 @ Oct 20 2023, 10:34 AM) Actually I was in dilemma earlier on choosing between the Olive Alpine Loop and Indigo Alpine Loop. Went for Indigo in the end as it seems to be the most unique one. The colour is more like a mix between deep purple/blue with a slightly less dark shade of purple (for the middle part), so honestly doesn't look too feminine. Haha. Also, I plan to stay away from Trail Loops this round as there has been some complaints (on Reddit) regarding the new Trail Loops, perhaps due to the new 100% eco-friendly material. QUOTE(newbuyer @ Oct 19 2023, 09:57 PM) Wow great to hear that. Haha. Nice. Congrats too! Yeah on my way down from Penang to Klang Contacted Machines Aeon bukit tinggi yesterday no stock But today they called me that stock just in. Immediately asked them to reserved. Hehe lucky to get it QUOTE(fox_shinoda @ Oct 19 2023, 11:11 PM) How do you guys choose the strap size? Iβm going to go either machines or switch tomorrow, going for alpine loop strap For Alpine Loop, my advice would be as follows:-Between medium or large S-Size: One should never get this size, as the titanium G-hook (whilst removing the watch from your wrist) will almost always hit the top part of the titanium Ultra 2 watch body (causing potential scratches/scuffs). But if one has very very small wrists, perhaps it is a worthy consideration. M-Size: There is enough tolerance for the G-hook to not hit the Ultra 2 watch body (refer above), but if you do it carelessly, it may still hit. Nevertheless, M-Size is best for Asian standard wrists IMO. L-Size: Generous amount of tolerance for the G-hook to not hit the Ultra 2 watch body (refer above again), but unless your wrists are large, the G-hook (after wearing on your wrist) will end up towards the maximum end of the Loop (close to the watch body) and this may be unsightly. QUOTE(Nagashiro @ Oct 20 2023, 02:34 PM) Looks like majority of stocks comes with M size ... Need to be conscious indeed. My wrist size probably around there too. So far have been using M-Size Alpine Loop since Ultra 1 launch last year. Thankfully no scratches to the G-hook, and neither to my laptop. π
π
ππΌIm looking forward for Alpine M or L size ... Heard M size G hook actually scratches the surface of table or notebook when we are typing. I have a wrist of 170mm+-. But I do my typing with my wrists at an angle, so maybe that explains why too. Here is a pic I just took to show my typing angle. ![]() This post has been edited by shockk: Oct 20 2023, 03:04 PM |

QUOTE(Nagashiro @ Oct 23 2023, 10:22 AM) Second that .. bring my Alpine for a short hike last Sunday. Comparing my current Ultra 2 Alpine Loop, to my previous Ultra 1 Alpine Loop, Appleβs move to 100% eco friendly material has a few notable changes:-Comfortable and dry fast. The band seems to have a bit of water resistant to it, not soaking too much of my sweat. - material seems more flexible, hence a lot more comfortable. π₯° - it feels less cloth-like but more plasticky. but this is not an issue since it still has elasticity in it. ππΌ - Iβm worried about the durability of the Ultra 2 Alpine Loop as the material used kind of feels that it may fray easily if not taken cared well. π₯² |

QUOTE(fox_shinoda @ Oct 24 2023, 11:51 AM) I was using Series 7 Stainless Steel before this, naked without any sp or case. But then stainless steel ones using sapphire front crystal Same here. Naked all the way for my Ultra 2. The watch is already bulky as it is, don't need to add additional heft to it, IMO. Which is similar to the ones on Ultra 2 There is no scratch whatsoever on my series 7 watch screen before, worn for about 2 years Will be doing the same thing for my ultra 2, just naked all the way Note: i had bad experience using case for my series 1 Apple Watch previously. There was scratches all over the body of the watch after the case for few months, using Spigen Body Armor case. Somehow dust managed to seep in ruin the coating of the watch After that never again using case for Apple Watch, fast forward bought Series 6 Aluminum also naked, few scratches barely noticeable on the body just few hairline scratches on the glass, and then on series 7 no scratches at all My previous Ultra 1 was used naked without any SP or case too, and it was still pristine (no scratches on the screen or on the Titanium body) the moment I let it go just before getting the Ultra 2. But if I were to do extreme sports somehow in the future, I guess I would reconsider and put a case and SP on it. |
