M Size

Actually I was in dilemma earlier on choosing between the Olive Alpine Loop and Indigo Alpine Loop.

Went for Indigo in the end as it seems to be the most unique one. The colour is more like a mix between deep purple/blue with a slightly less dark shade of purple (for the middle part), so honestly doesn't look too feminine. Haha.

Also, I plan to stay away from Trail Loops this round as there has been some complaints (on Reddit) regarding the new Trail Loops, perhaps due to the new 100% eco-friendly material.

For Alpine Loop, my advice would be as follows:-

S-Size: One should never get this size, as the titanium G-hook (whilst removing the watch from your wrist) will almost always hit the top part of the titanium Ultra 2 watch body (causing potential scratches/scuffs). But if one has very very small wrists, perhaps it is a worthy consideration.

M-Size: There is enough tolerance for the G-hook to not hit the Ultra 2 watch body (refer above), but if you do it carelessly, it may still hit. Nevertheless, M-Size is best for Asian standard wrists IMO.

L-Size: Generous amount of tolerance for the G-hook to not hit the Ultra 2 watch body (refer above again), but unless your wrists are large, the G-hook (after wearing on your wrist) will end up towards the maximum end of the Loop (close to the watch body) and this may be unsightly.

Need to be conscious indeed. My wrist size probably around there too. So far have been using M-Size Alpine Loop since Ultra 1 launch last year. Thankfully no scratches to the G-hook, and neither to my laptop. 😅😅🙏🏼

But I do my typing with my wrists at an angle, so maybe that explains why too.

Comparing my current Ultra 2 Alpine Loop, to my previous Ultra 1 Alpine Loop, Apple’s move to 100% eco friendly material has a few notable changes:-
- material seems more flexible, hence a lot more comfortable. 🥰
- it feels less cloth-like but more plasticky. but this is not an issue since it still has elasticity in it. 👍🏼
- I’m worried about the durability of the Ultra 2 Alpine Loop as the material used kind of feels that it may fray easily if not taken cared well. 🥲

Same here. Naked all the way for my Ultra 2. The watch is already bulky as it is, don't need to add additional heft to it, IMO.

My previous Ultra 1 was used naked without any SP or case too, and it was still pristine (no scratches on the screen or on the Titanium body) the moment I let it go just before getting the Ultra 2.

But if I were to do extreme sports somehow in the future, I guess I would reconsider and put a case and SP on it.
