now the in thing is magnetic tracks. where got people still use downlights? magnetic tracks no need for plaster ceiling

Not true. I have a room change to Philip led tube fit on fluorescent holder. At 20w led, the lumens is lower.

Since the light not run frequent (not even a min/day), hardly scratch the bill.

the light comes in 2 parts, a bracket and then the light itself. the bracket that attaches itself to the plaster ceiling is permanent and then the light slots in. for replacement, you just need to slide out the light itself only leaving the bracket untouched. Zero risks in damaging the plaster ceiling.

i think it should be standard because i don't believe Feel-Lite manufactures them, they should only be the distributor but so far, i have no issue in purchasing, always readily to be purchased from the lighting store near my home.

I see. The reason I asked about 3rd party replacement isn't just about saving money. Proprietary replacement is usually more difficult to source and product lifespan (EOL) may be shorter.
