Is there any easy-to-maintain downlights?
Like those LED Recessed ES27 Fitting Downlight suits All E27 LED Bulb but seems like very difficult to find nowadays.
All pakai those downlights need to korek when need to change the bulb. When you korek, some plaster fall down.

QUOTE(ozak @ Sep 16 2023, 11:46 AM) My 2 bathroom and store room still running on fluorescent light. For 24yrs. It refuse to die. But fluorescent not power saving. LED use much lower power for same amount of light. 24 yrs, you lost a lot more in energy bill, more than your flurescent tubes.

QUOTE(ozak @ Sep 17 2023, 06:08 PM) Not true. I have a room change to Philip led tube fit on fluorescent holder. At 20w led, the lumens is lower. Since the light not run frequent (not even a min/day), hardly scratch the bill. then u r not using fluresecent tube, you are using LED on a flurorescent holder only.

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Sep 20 2023, 12:35 PM) am using this from FEEL-LITE since MCO. the light comes in 2 parts, a bracket and then the light itself. the bracket that attaches itself to the plaster ceiling is permanent and then the light slots in. for replacement, you just need to slide out the light itself only leaving the bracket untouched. Zero risks in damaging the plaster ceiling. looks very good, i mean easy to replace. Is this standard or custom? I mean is the light itself easily available or only from Feel-Lite?

QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ Sep 20 2023, 01:01 PM) i think it should be standard because i don't believe Feel-Lite manufactures them, they should only be the distributor but so far, i have no issue in purchasing, always readily to be purchased from the lighting store near my home. this is very expensive compared to non-seperable recessed downlight! Like 2x the price? Crazy.

QUOTE(mushigen @ Sep 22 2023, 08:21 PM) I see. The reason I asked about 3rd party replacement isn't just about saving money. Proprietary replacement is usually more difficult to source and product lifespan (EOL) may be shorter. maybe a good idea to buy 10% more for backup? Another question is will downlight reliability reduce over time even without use?
