I was tenant left from a unit in 23rd Aug. Deposit not refunded yet.
Owner said will refund asap...withn 1 month.

I checked after 1week passed.
Owner said wait aircon service bill.
Hmmmm...How long does it usually take to receive the bill?
I thought technitian charge fee on the spot.

I feel uneasy about that. Because the owner didn't explain properly.
First time, i heard aircon service fee because i have never charged from other owner before.
And it wasn't mentioned in contract though...

Somehow, i feel having doubt.

Is that normal?

Did you check your tenancy agreement? I saw people post this on fb also regarding the service aircond

Tenancy agreement usually allows up to a month for the deposit to be refunded.

Depends on contract.
Some made it necessary for the tenant to service the aircond after 1 year usage, with condition that the aircond was serviced before the tenant get the key.

Need to see your Tenancy contract actually....

Standard it's 1month.... they would check everything first to make sure everything okay... Too much tenants trash the places... Much damage done....
