Also, even if you have one empty category, that warning message will still pop anyway so if you're sure you selected the right 601 and submitted everything just click OK. For Malaysians I think most of us will have "Family Register" empty as we dont have this document unlike China or Indonesia.

Yes. We don’t have the 户口 system like China. I don’t know about Indonesia though…

Indonesia have Kartu Keluarga. Not sure if they've changed it since then.

Between application and grant, with the request for additional information in between, how long did it take you to get the 601 ETA?

Wow that's actually not bad. Better than the 4-5 weeks processing time in the past after submitting the additional information/documentation.

Still a lot longer and more inconvenient than most of the other ETA eligible countries, but Malaysian passport holders have only their fellow countrymen/women to blame.

Now, students need to front up RM100,000 to prove that they’re not going to jump aeroplane….. I think it’s a real possibility that we may have further scrutiny on the ETA application moving forward….

I definitely am interested in stargazing. I was initially planning to do it during my Great Ocean Road @ Victoria trip with friend, but was abit tough as we had different priorities and since my friend was bringing me around I didn't want to trouble them! Still on my bucket list.
Thanks for the suggestions!! Haha I don't mind even if you're from the WA Tourism, gives me plenty of headstart already. I was struggling where to start.

Not say I want to kaypoh busybody, but have you decided on your destination yet, by any chance?

I'm headed back to HK to visit family (again) so if you're still thinking of HK as opposed to Perth, you could lemme know what you're keen on doing and I can ask my family for suggestions smile.gif

Yeah, definitely double whammy.

Frequent Malaysians Aeroplane Jumper + Plenty of Student Visa Abusers from Lower-Income Asia Region = more scrutiny for everyone

Haven't decided yet - plans might get distorted as Co suddenly announced some huge projects so I don't think I could take any time off in next 6 months rclxub.gif cry.gif

I welcome this update. It's long overdue, DHA should have done so way much earlier.

Aussie high Commissioner staff, or commissioner of oaths or public notary should be a safe bet. In Australia, any one of a list of professions which include doctors, lawyers, Justice of Peace, teachers etc can also do the trick, but only sighting and certifying true copies, not for translation.

On the Malaysian side, court translators. Find your nearest court complex. Charges vary depending on court location in my experience.
