Going to pick up my tesla tomorrow, but I wont floor it because I'm not familiar with the car, also driving high speed use more energy, need to charge often, not a good idea for battery life.

Come on man YOLO. Not asking you to floor it frequently but at least you gotta floor it once and for all during your first few drives. Just for the sake of thrill and adrenaline.

Just floor it man. For the best experience, floor it on the MEX highway when you're leaving Cyberjaya.  devil.gif

Someone YOLO in the collection parking and got into accident with another newly delivered m3 during 1st batch delivery rclxub.gif

DA should warn new owners about the instant torque. Not just telling us to RTFM

Congrats on your electrification journey. Trust me its a rewarding one, You'll be spending about 15 to 30 minutes calibrating the cameras so driving around Cyberjaya would be best. After that, there is no break-in period, just enjoy the ride.

Picked up my Model 3 RWD Quicksilver yesterday rclxms.gif

The color isn't as what I expected. I expect it would be much more shiny but it actually kind of gives a little bit of matte feeling. The range also far below what's advertised - website says WLTP 519KM but the car estimated 400km++ only for 97% battery. Although I have expected this, I just thought it would be slightly higher as mine is 18" wheel, not the 19", should have better range.

Still getting used to the 1-pedal driving now, I find it dangerous at times as my foot get used to put on the drive pedal all the time but when I needed brake, I would accidentally hit on the drive pedal instead. Especially at parking boom gate, down slopes, etc. Also the regen braking feels kinda weird and a bit dizzy at first, I guess need a bit time for myself to "break-in".

All in all, nice car, nice ride and great audio. Beginning of my EV lifestyle, hope I won't get too much of the range anxiety biggrin.gif

For regen breaking - the best advise i can give you is to feather the throttle. The throttle itself is very sensitive, so once you have finally caught the sweet spot for your braking and acceleration, going back to ICE driving style seems like a hassle. Its an extremely fun time for you, take more road trips and familiar yourself.

after driving for 2 weeks on my M3 RWD, now I am having problem to drive my wife's ICE CX5.... because I am so used to single pedal and regen braking, I felt very awkward using the brake pedal every single time before reaching the traffic lights/junctions.

Car displays EPA, while the advertised is WLTP. Different standards.

Side note, have you driven manual car? laugh.gif the one pedal drive feels a lot like manual car doing engine braking.

Yea, it feels like engine braking (automatic transmission car has it too).

The "pulling" force is causing the dizziness. Hearsay the rear passenger comfort level is not gonna be too good on the new Model 3 due to this strong regen braking.

Don’t worry about it, you will get used to it soon.
Most of my passengers who sit my car for first time didn’t even realized I was doing one pedal drive 😂

this features is very genius. its force driver to keep distance with car infront without they even realize. last time people use brake pedal, they will brake last minute, and they even follow very close to car infront without they realize they practice the bad habit for years.

If everycar equipped with this and people start to practice one pedal driving, we will see everywhere people will keep distance.

really really genius features. its alter people driving towards good driving.
