Hi everyone, appreciate your input on this.
I plan to install Tesla Wallbox at my home. I have checked with my developer and they confirmed the Isolator at car porch is link directly to DB Box hence no hacking required. Its just that need to change the MCB breaker to 40A (currently 20A). My question is why the installer still quote me around 1k plus for this installation??

Not sure about this. Need to ask Tesla team since they are the one who arrange this.

Don’t need to rely on approved installer, there’s others in fb group, in your case would probably costs less than $1k

If this is for 20a not sure why your developer said can just change to 40a Mcb, did he confirm both cable and isolator okay for 40a?

The prob is Tesla will only provide the wall charger for free if its installed by their approved installer. So we didn’t get the wall charger upon collecting Tesla car anymore.

Yes. The developer technician confirmed can just replace to 40A.
