Hi all. Planning to get a juniper soon. Anyone know of a place where they can tint the roof and the back in one piece, but with different rating?

Planning to put almost zero for the roof, but want normal for rear window

What do you mean by one piece? Sunroof and rear windscreen are 2 separate pieces.

Tesla Model 3 RWD usable battery 57.5kWh
54.1kWh used for 461.7km from my recent long weekend Melaka trip. EPA is achievable, again, under optimal conditions (also not driving fast on the highway).

Do u guys normally:
1) Turn off Cabin Overheat Protection (COP) totally
2) Turn on but just the fan
3) Turn on & with AC

Especially for those who stays on landed property & with current hot weather (unless your car porch is fully covered). If the COP with air conditioning is turned on, will it significantly drain the car battery? Over time, could it also cause the heat pump to run more frequently, potentially requiring more frequent servicing? On the other hand, if the COP is completely turned off, could the high temperatures damage the electronic components (especially the main display screen) and the car's leather interior? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Cabin overheat protection is not needed at all, I have it off all the time, not even fan. It is never an issue for regular ICE car exposing to direct sunlight for hours, no different for a Tesla. I just turn on aircon 5-10 minutes before I going to drive it after parked under hot sun to cool it down.

Yes, having it turned on will consume quite some battery. Buy a sunshade, which probably can do better job at protecting the surface and seat materials from UV. The car will do fine under 60+ degrees.

If you look in the manual, it says COP is just for user comfort. Not for the taking care of the car.

too high cabin temp will degrade the car interior, so i use cabin protection with fan only, wont significantly drain the battery

Up to you, this is what is stated in owner's manual.

"Cabin Overheat Protection prevents the cabin from getting too hot in scorching ambient conditions. While not necessary to activate whenever you leave Model 3, the climate control system can reduce and maintain the temperature of your vehicle’s cabin. This can prevent the cabin from getting too hot after leaving it parked in the sun, making the vehicle more comfortable when you return. Cabin Overheat Protection may take up to 15 minutes to enable once you exit the vehicle. This feature is intended for passenger comfort and has no impact on the reliability of your vehicle's components."

the manual is correct, reliability is not impact, but car interior such as fabric, dashboard will get degraded.

Is it? Which software version are you on? My navigation data is also still on a 2024 version....

I live in JB, the only third party charging network I see are those in Singapore, in Malaysia, still can't see....This is when I tap to look for chargers in the map.... sad.gif

i heard their trade in value is lower than outside market and after the 15k rebate, it is more or less the same

unless your car is very old and no value then worth it
