Hi, anyone can comment how good/ bad is the Tesla navigation compare to Google map/ waze? Didn't test this during my test drive unfortunately. I remember reading somewhere that premium connectivity will enable traffic information.

Cannot compare to waze, waze is still the best.

Tesla uses Google Maps for mapping, live traffic, and destination info.
Cannot beat Waze la.

Got one time it directs me to a one way road (and i am going towards the opposite direction) wtf.
So end up i just buy a holder and uses Waze for those newer/further places.
The daily nearby one i use the Tesla nav.

Tesla personnel said the car navigation piggybackings information from Google map though. Ya, probably Waze is still better.

First come first served, or just be really lucky. Last time I used TDC in a mall was before Model Y deliveries pre-March time. That time all the Model 3 also rushing like crazy.

Totally bad, it is just using Google Map for the map and traffic. Perhaps when the Tesla's AI kicks in, it should improve by then. The navigation is totally terrible... I usually just leave the navigation to the location but mute the sound for the SoC estimation.

Dont worry too much, cleaning wise just use non alcohol baby wipes and microfiber cloth. I have 1 just to clean the seats. I also bought the chemical guys total interior cleaner, but have yet the need to use it.

After a month+ of usage i do notice some light marks / wrinkles at the side bolster

Edit: However if i were to choose again, i would definitely still go for white interior again.

Black color also hare wrinkles... just normal wear and tear no issue. My friend's one had some marking from the seat belts for the rear seats.

If you have a maid at home, go ahead. If not, stay away. Regardless how durable and ease of clean, white is white. Not practical to own one for the long run, unless you intend to switch out another car in a year or two.
It’s unlike white sneakers which you can just live with the stain and change another pair if it get worst.

With Malaysia's Securities Commission requiring big companies to disclose their carbon emissions, wonder if tesla is actively engaging the local companies for fleet vehicles.
Which company locally would be the first one to do so.

Personally, I'm quite fed up with the navigation in Tesla. If I'm going to familiar places then I'll still use it for the sake of battery % estimation. If you're going somewhere unfamiliar, it's really risky.

One of my most hated "issue" is that it tends to give unnecessary guides when I am just suppose to go straight. For example, when you're driving on a straight road and there is an left exit coming up, Waze / Google Maps would not even ping you to do anything (which naturally means to stay on your lane and continue to go straight). But Tesla navigation just tell you to keep right in xxx meters which in fact is just to keep on your current straight lane. I got confused so many times on unfamiliar roads by this unnecessary guide. Also, the navigation tends to give you last minute direction. By the time it gives you alert, you're almost at the intersection already and if you're not on the correct lane, good luck and go straight to reroute again.

I have 2 kids too (3 year old and 5 year old), still opt for white interior as I really like how it look.
Black seats and interior are way too common, you rarely get a choice to get white interior in a car.
Doesn't mean the black interior is bad at all, it looks good too, just my personal choice to go with white. It's all up to you.

Thanks for your opinion on the white seats.

Placed an order for a performance model with black interior about a week ago, loan all sorted, EDD is end of November. I saw white seats version in inventory, so very tempted to go for it in the hope that maybe I can get car way earlier...

If you're buying SR model, the white is definitely nicer as the white panel on the doors is I think leather?

SR black color is the cloth... if LR/P then you get suede.
