I received a take-home technical assessment which need to create the backend (apis) and frontend (using SPA) for one feature. The time frame is one week. And it says that all code must be considered production-ready.

do you think that is right? Using the candidate's skill to build them an app to get the best POC or mockup version?

If you really want to join the company, go ahead and do the exercise.

Personally, I can't be bothered with companies that do this.
