QUOTE(dark_axl21 @ Aug 29 2023, 08:20 AM) maxshit some area very congested even carrier aggregation with band 1+3+7 also get 20mbps only.b28 is anchor band for 5G nsa, so lock to b28 no need congest with other 4G users on band 1/3/7. before this, lock to single band 28 only can get 30-50mbps or higher for 4G. been using for a year suddenly last night no longer can already. Since the DNB has right for the LTE Band 28, probably the band is now utilized for the 5G. Furthermore Maxis is now offering 5G service.

As far as I know 5G is not backward compatible with 4G, not like WiFibut now maxshit 4G no longer able to lock to b28, while other telco still can lock to b28. |

Band 28 hanyalah anchor band sahaja. Mungkin Maxis tidak seperti telco lain yang membenarkan pengguna mereka akses 4G Band 28 DNB tanpa perlu menggunakan sambungan 5G. hyperyouth_firepower, Stirmling, and 2 others liked this post

Chill...apa yang awak cakap tu i pun faham. When I disable every band except band28 on my S9+ (Hotlink), it showed Band:PGSM900 (usually it would show the band number) and my phone only gets 2G. Still, I'm kinda surprised that they are allowed to use 4G on band 28. This post has been edited by andrekua2: Aug 30 2023, 08:23 AM |

Seems like MaxShit is forcing its customers to upgrade to 5G with higher fee. When customers complain slow speed, the solution is to upgrade to 5G plan.

I may think B28 belongs to DNB.
If you didnt subscribe to 5G, Maxis needs to bear the cost to pay DNB for what you consume on B28. That is why they disallow it. Having say that if you subscribe 5G but lock to only use 4G but not with 5G, doesnt make sense. This post has been edited by p4n6: Nov 4 2023, 08:26 PM |

QUOTE(Stirmling @ Aug 30 2023, 08:34 PM) eh, so how is maxshit quality nowadays? I just bought a new Hotlink pack out of curiosity after using Umobile for several years. thinking of switching to maxis to see if it's more stable than my sialcom. kept on getting E on my phone that i have to switch airplane mode on/off for it to reconnect to LTE. I even subscribed to the 80GB 6Mbps Unlimited Plan. For my area - USJ Subang - The line is congested in almost all bands at night, akin like everyone balik kampung on a Karak highway. No matter my device switch to 1,3,7,8 almost all is congested. Worse than my Umobile. Had to restart the connection several times. I would had expected Maxis backbone to be great but looks like their advertisement is nothing but scam. My wifey using 5G on Hotlink is fine though. Luckily I havent throw away my Umobile Prepaid , especially mine can still support the Giler Plan. Stirmling liked this post
