got mine yesterday after friday prayer. The linux was nice and fast but I went back and formatted it with WinXP ( need to run some windows program for my work). XP speed is quite OK ( tho I haven't yet installed any other program xcpt firefox and YM), but need to switch off system restore and the virtual memory kept low or else not much space left on the disk. Now I got 1.9gbyte left. I also notice on XP the 'disk access' LED lights up more frequently.
The palmrest (its too small to put my palm) can get quite hot after a while.
The webcam is especially nice for YM.

I installed xp normally/bulat-bulat from an external usb dvd. Need to change something in the bios beforehand (its in the manual..I just followed it).
shrink the virtual memory, off the system restore. then install the drivers on the ASUS DVD.
After install got 1.9gbyte left on the disk

The linux one is noticeably faster (both startup and shutdown) On XP startup around 30 seconds ( from the moment I press the power button) until the windows logon sound comes up. Shutdown about 25 seconds.
