I don understand a word being posted here... too noob...

I'm considering to get one, But I don't know what to look for and the price... It seems hard to find the actual pricing for all things so I hope everyone can help me decide.

I want my Asus EEE to have:

4 or 8 GB space.
1 or 2 Gb ram.
A webcam.
Windows XP (The small version) <That one I think can manually install rite?)
Touchscreen... (If can... just found out...)<Also manual install...)

If can... Please list the pricing for me? I really in need for a subnotebook that can do basic things like surf, IM, text editing, minor image editing, etc. I really want Asus EEE because of the mobility.

Other questions i wanna ask is the weight, size I've seen before. Screen also. But the main question is how long is the battery life?

I hope all the EEE owners here can help me decide it and where to get one. Really like it.

an EEEPC 4G with webcam would be around RM 1350. if you wanna add 2gb of RAMs, that'll be another RM 150 more or less. so RM 1500 total. for touchscreen i'm not sure smile.gif

OK, start collect RM1500 now...

I think u can oledi get Asus 4G(with/without webcam) in Malaysia now,8G not launching yet.Price should be arround RM1199-1299(w/o webcam) and RM1299-RM1499(w/webcam),depends on ur location,so far i think Lowyat is selling RM1299 for webcam one, refer to previous post lately.

About the weight and size, pls ask Uncle Google, weight i remembered should be <1kg with battery, screen 7" with 800 x 480 resolution, battery last about 3 hours for normal use.

Hope this helps. smile.gif

Hey guys, can't believe that I was pondering with EEE today and some rumor came out!

The unconfirmed Asus EEE 900 was rumored to be revealed in CeBIT 2008 this week. CeBIT is just this week!! 4-9 March!

Video of the book with it's siblings by comparison.

Oddly the person did not check the processor. Seems like the Intel processor is not suppose to be told to the public just yet. Aww, I just hoped that some random fellow will just press "Windows" + "Pause/Break" keys to peek the processing power. Tempting...

Now where the speaker went to? Below the casing???

If you watch movies or listen to music on a lap or on beds, or even on some cloth, the sound would be softened rite??

Why not put it where normal laptop speakers are? Odd design...

Whops, coding wrong... Just fixed it...

i just touched the EEE today at sunway. Same pricing for the webcam one. Rm1299...

I wanna ask one question since the shop assistant even donno a thing... just the basics...

Ok, i touched the EEE and it was damn hot at the base. How fast does that thing heats up? and does anyone on the EEE for 24 hrs?

And when the EEE is opened, why is there an empty gap there? Is it a space for the battery? Or it was just like that? Hope that you guys can help me answer these! Thanks.
