k0k_w31: thanks bro for your excellent and friendly service. Posting now using the Eee  smile.gif

Came back and wife already on the unit for an hour. It was hot! Its now on my notebook cooler.

Just connected it to my home wi-fi without any problems. Must say that i am happy with the screen. Connect to external mouse and on the spot it works. Good thing its not pure white like in the ad.

However the keyboard is small and not suitable for typing long documents.

And mine is new rclxm9.gif

P.S. my wife said you nice guy.

Feel so great after hearing u all very satisfy with ur Eee PC,
But yea, its abit hot if compare with others Notebook, may be the fan is too small.
anyway, anyone of you try to install other device which has no drivers like printers, scanners or camera?
This might be the next issue for the customers..

hmm.....

kokwei: just want to ask an update about the memory thing - do we need to go to the asus center to upgrade or we can upgrade ourself without nulling the warranty?

Actually Asus not recommeded customer to upgrade the memory from the Eee Pc, I've check with them few times ade,

Still wondering when only they decided to provide the memory upgrade from their service center.

i asked the same thing too
even double confirm with the fact that we can bring our ram over to their side , also asked if any charges incur
the thing is they have to ask ppl around them to double and triple confirm
in the end , they advised me to call later
hopefully we can get a definite answer soon

Ok, jz received the call from a Asus Specialist.
The Memory upgrade can do it by Asus service center.
You guys can bring ur own memory with ur Eee pc to Asus Service center for upgrade.
Dun worry, bout buying a new Ram from them.
They will replace another warranty sticker for u Eee.

Cheers... rclxms.gif
