QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Nov 2 2007, 01:40 AM) Can anyone answer my doubt for this Asus Eee ? first of allI just couldn't understand what this Eee is for since the harddisk is just at 8GB maximum. Price is tempting to me , but buying just for wireless surfing seems a little waste to me. go to find where asus target this laptop at the very first place, of course we are one of asus customer also but the main purpose is to help the poor country family at least to equip thier kid with laptop for classroom learning. so if we need higher end laptop, this is not the one to choose unless u wanna carry around portable HDD, DVD writer. but that will defeat the purpose or portability or mobility. and if we insisit to buy expectation have to pull down abit la if not wait Dell or Compacq do promotion RM1999 celeron proc laptop extra Rm500 from Asus EEE |

QUOTE(kerazul @ Nov 2 2007, 12:00 AM) Too long never chase skirts but these days so easy 9/10 kar?QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Nov 2 2007, 01:40 AM) Can anyone answer my doubt for this Asus Eee ? It's not harddisk... it's flash memory.I just couldn't understand what this Eee is for since the harddisk is just at 8GB maximum. Price is tempting to me , but buying just for wireless surfing seems a little waste to me. Eeepc is basically a new segment altogether. Officially, it's for the education market and the an alternative to the UMPC and MID devices thats about to be launch In street talk, its basically targeted towards the in between the "buy-a-Kaiser-and-squint-to-see-the-damn-webpage", "the-STUFF-reader-who-want-but-cannot-afford-an-UMPC and the "pay-peanut-get-rubbish-but-complain-QC-no-good" crowd. Asus could've done it cheaper but didn't. So personally, I do think it's a much better buy than those sub RM2K notebooks (which seems superficially better value) |

Somebody mentioned my name?
Yeah, really bz lately. INSANELY BZ! I think the Eee PC is good for those whose requirements are very specific and are not adventurous with their PC. Take for instance those who buy PPC phone n the reason given is that they can "Go to starbucks and enjoy free internet". Honestly speaking, surfing the net with my 3.5" - 4" VGA res screen is JUST NICE only. Those with 2.7 - 2.8" QVGA screens wan... heh... goodluck lorr... If ur purpose is to "Go starbucks and enjoy free internet" which is not exactly free anyway coz ur expected to purchase a beverage or food, I feel that the Eee PC is a better way about it. Therefore, if ur uses r strictly documentation and internet, it's a good device. Anything else, u'll end up as Sniper On The Roof said; in the pay-peanut-get-rubbish-but-complain-QC-no-good class. |

It's nice to lug around when u go college, starbucks or to the libraby.. But i still think the 4GB and 8GB is still too little but overall worth the price of RM1500 I would say. |
