Not sure if there any thread specifically on this but I do feel we should start sharing what is being offered when we try to port out from a certain telco. At least I know at TM unifi thread, they are sharing the latest SWU promo and more users are benefiting from it. It sucks that we have to go and request for it instead of it being offered to us automatically as loyal customers.
Telcos companies are cunning and as their customers, it doesn't pay to be loyal. More often than not, they are always coming up with new attractive, cheaper plans for new customers while ignoring their loyal customers. As a consumers, we should really shop around for the best plan for our own usage.
Anyway the purpose of this thread is to share whatever promos offered by your existing telco in order to "retain" your subscription. Here's mine - I'm with maxis postpaid for at least 10 years or more, however I felt the usage experience with them and coverage in my area has not improved despite multiple reports being made. In addition to that, they are also increasing the fee just to access the 5G network.
I took this opportunity to port out to another telco and here's where the retention specialist team come into play. Now they're offering RM49/month for two years to stay with them on the Maxis Postpaid 79 plan. I didn't take up the offer as I was ready to jump ship, moreover Maxis backend doesn't support 5G for pixel 7. For those who are still with them, I hope this info is useful and might even help reduce your monthly commitment.

Postpaid customers with their never ending struggle. I have moved on to prepaid since mco and it's not only cheaper, there's also more freebies.

Maxis resulted a big hoohaa during 2016 to retain its customers from porting out. Don't think they can offer good plan like the one in 2016.

unfortunately this method does not apply to TM broadband, i ask for port out then straight away process ....
so now when contract end from M Broadband, will directly cut line and join 5G broadband
