bro don't mention about youngsters, I think many drivers nowadays are quite unsure of their own car functions.
if you join those fb groups of myvi, persona, saga.. literally filled with idiots
got spanar icon appear - reminder for service, yet will ask, 'omg driving halfway got this icon, what does this mean? still can drive? Anything spoil?'
or got cold engine icon.. omg can drive? luckily its blue only.. imagine driving the car with the light lit up as red. then keep driving for sometime.. rip engine
oh.. the best question I've ever seen in myvi 2022 group.
how to on / off engine? the driver tried turning on the engine with the 2 time push method and 3 time push method.
off also wanna ask haha.. yet can say there's actually a pamphlet on how to off the car's engine, but he doesn't believe it. LOL

simple car operating functions also don't know.. what more change a spare tyre lo..
some can even buy the car without knowing the car functions..
its like buying a smartphone not knowing it can browse internet and make phone calls

Yes, so sad the engineer which compile all the procedures/documents for the manual book were left in dust somewhere in the car or even dustbin... doh.gif
In my car group if someone ask stupid question, i ask them did you know there is a manual book when you purchase your new ride? If used/2nd hand i understand, but a lot bought new car and dont even look through their books! shakehead.gif

Besides that, with google & youtube so easy to access nowadays. Simple question in those search column also can get a lot of answers..

but the thing is every car operates differently. Driving school cannot be teaching everything.
I mean for a car owner / operator, the least they should know is how to operate their car correctly and safely, knowing how to use the functions of the car.
Yes, ppl are willing to learn but also should have put in the effort to ask the question correctly or at least try knowing what the issue is first la.
anyhow ask 1 stupid question and wait for ppl to give them answer when a simple search on google ady could have gotten the answer.
Question like - how to on off engine.. like really meh? come on leh.. actually everything is already listed in the user manual like what littlefire said.
They (the new drivers) just gotta read it first then they'll know ady.

and nobody said new drivers are idiots.. It's just the questions that ppl ask in those car groups can be quite stupid

Agree bro, each different car got some difference 1. The car owner should at least understand the basic function of it. A lot of good information including warranty claim t&c also listed in those books but people never took effort to even look into it... sad.gif
