So yes you can buy one relatively cheap for about RM40K. The car was later sent to be refurbished. Changed almost all of the chassis drive line parts. By using only OEM parts that cost roughly RM10K. Will be more after factoring the other costs to refurbish the driveshaft that has jammed bolts and cogs.

10k consider cheap already, nowadays if want to do full refurbish can easily reach 15k~20k. You need to know E60 when new almost 300k~500k range car, so the maintenance should be higher.

This RM20K is using mostly OEM parts. And the original dampers are not priced higher than OEM ones, that why he chose ori. For all this driveline work, it will make the car feel like new.

I still remember 10 years ago, my mechanic friend repaired one of these replacing quite a few parts after the owner hit a wild boar. About RM 30K. The owner later was found wanting to off load the car for RM100K after repair. Last i heard the car was sold for RM50K a few year later.

this is only the rear bushing and absorbers ya.
you still have frond and plenty of other engine parts to refurbish.

by the time everything is done, it would cost much more then the price you paid for the car.

My family used to have one from 2008 to 2019.

Reliable machine and more comfortable than most newer cars.

Maintenance-wise, it was okay-ish because it never broke down at the roadside; we only needed normal and major servicing.

The aircond compressor died once, and that was the only major problem we had; we just drove it to the workshop without aircond on.

Handling was damn good too, but fuel consumption was on the high side by today's standards.

high speed to 250kmh, for sure Accord wont reach that. Mine is 2.4, speed limited to 207kmh, for sure remaps, remove speed cut can above that but wont hit 250kmh (if yes sure there's people uploading the video on youtube). Same goes to Nissan Teana. Long time ago, my dads owned W211 E240 V6 while my other relative bought E60 525i, generally, the E60 just end up many times at workshop for malfunction while the E240 just for regular maintenance, oil change, never need to sleep inside the workshop. So in this aspect, suggest the W211 E280.
