I'm planning to get a PSP Slim. Is it advisable to get it now or I should look for the Fat version?

I think it won't affect the performance but it sure does cause you some heart pain when you see the gap! I, for one will surely be sad if there's something not right about my thing.

Okie, let's make it simple. If I save the files in the PSP in somewhere safe as my backup, even when it's bricked, I am able to unbrick it because I have the backup right?
