Hi all, I just received my new psp-2000 lite. I have a problem when trying to connect to internet. I've configure my 3COM wireless router: 1. Mixed Mode 2. Reserve the MAC add under a IP address in my LAN/Wireless configuration. In PSP: 1. Configured IP address to 192.168.1.xx (same and i am able to connect to the router (I assume my PSP has obtained an IP from router because the test connection seems to be success)) 2. Route: 192.168.1.1, DNS1 & 2 :192.168.1.1 3. When test connection, i can see a new connection in my router, which is pointing the MAC add of the PSP. 4. I scroll down the test result and saw the Internet connection not success. 5. I open the PSP browser, type in http://www.google.com but I received this error: 8041040F. Anyone can help?

QUOTE(Pip_X @ Nov 6 2007, 04:05 PM) Try choose automatic setting. Hi Pip_X, Initially, I used automatic setting but it can't obtain IP from router (timeout). That's why I configure manual and all went through successfully but can't browse internet.

QUOTE(bububang @ Nov 6 2007, 05:05 PM) this i had posted .. maybe we are some problem? are u using any encryption? is u arenusing 64 bit will cause problem, must use 128 bit.. < this is what i found out last time.. u should spent more time to reading through whole thread However i read some thread they said power safe option must be turn off.. So far i never change this.. For the browser, if u type yahoo.com < there is some display problem. Basically if u use pc browser, u can see option such as Web | Images | ... bla bla.. But on PSP u see nothing.. but after u click search.. then the option came out.. wonder what wrong with it.. Hi Bububang, Thanks for the reply. In fact, I always use WEB - 128bit key for my other laptop (i have 2 laptops, 1 with b and the other with g). By the way, I've checked on my psp console on the power safe and the default all were off till now. Is there other advice? For the reading the entire thread, can you let me know which page because I'm having quite a low connection here...

QUOTE(bububang @ Nov 7 2007, 12:55 AM) how can i remember... Did u try to close the encryption? Last time when i requesting for IP it sure timeout.. but after change to 128 bit it works fine.. till now also no problem.. Then the setting was using automatic setting.. nothing else.. Did u had another psp? If about the encryption u had change but it still the same then i couldnt help anymore.. the only solution i know was this How bout Ad-hoc mode? found out the solution!!.. I change to using WPA-AES and all wireless successfully connect including PSP..But i wonder is the 3.71 firmware really can't support WEP?
