I'm trying to help a family member to port from UMobile Prepaid to Hotlink Pantas Prepaid as want to have the 365 days validity

I already performed verification ID thingie on Umobile and its fine.

Followed the steps as per https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/plan/switch-to-hotlink/

However, when trying to validate the number with TAC, it keep failing and saying error.

Hotlink online switching is like that. Been like that for years.

And worse is, their own Maxis store (not some dealer/ reseller) refuses to do port in to Hotlink prepaid, but Hotlink postpaid can. Gave some petty reason (system upgrade sekarang erc etc). Few years apart also the same reason.

Only if your number is the lucky one, you can get pass the TAC stage.

just pay RM 10 for the dealer / reseller to port in to the latest Hotlink Prepaid for your family member ( in person ). Don't be a cheap man.

After porting in, top up a bit of money and spend RM 2 for a change of plan to Hotlink Pantas.

Simple and easy.
