wah....very affordable la...adus....just changed timing belt set for my waja...and it's costly la....this one ar 60% less than what i've paid la...

aha bro, u can get 1 unit before sold out for next change, timing belt wont expire.....

according to my supplier, these gates belt are made in Thai, OEM for toyota cars just like pennzoil oil used by UMW M'sia.

however QC level is high, need not to worry, and all Gates belt im selling comes with warranty card and serial numbers

i wont buy gates timing belt. Got a lot of "cap ayam" Gates belt out there. Gates also made in thailand. One way to test, after u buy, use a cloth and some water, rub on the Gates wording on the belt. If it comes off, then u kena u know what already. Kena tipu for 4g91 already.

Today i just received a pack of 'Genuine' Gates Timing for 4G13/4G15 Engine timing belt set from a friend who bought from local spare parts shop: (very cheap RM45 only...)

Well the packaging is quite different, smaller packaging, and sort of quite inferior overall packaging....

lets explore what they offer in the box:


Beware, fake timing belt may not last as advertised, and oil seals prone for leakage after several months of usage...

1. Wira Bearing can be NTN, NSK or SKF. Where got original bearing? i would go for SKF for any bearing.

2.Oil seals also u are not giving Viton ones. How can u say urs is genuine? so many oil seal brands out there. what makes ur oil seal original?

3.Also Gates boxes in malaysia are made by their respective suppliers. Ur box can be made easily anyway. Big or small doesnt matter.

4. 100,00km Gates wira 1.3 genuine can get in KL for below 80.

5. Too many Gates imitation already. Can be brought into malaysia by any Tom, d*** or Harry. No control.
I can easily buy a cheap belt, wipe the words off and put Gates green chop and wordings there.

well if you keep thinking i am selling non genuine ones in the 1st place...what else do i need to explain to you?

do a search in lelong.com.my, similiar pack like mine cost RM160 for 4G13/4G15.

well，about the stamping, self stamping usually results in the blurry text on pic above..

btw i am not forcing anyone to buy, those who feel uneasy may sourse it elsewhere, im just providing an alternative to get good quality belts set @ cheaper price.FYI i have sold many of this belt and got no complain since.....

bro, can cod or not? i at kl, driving 4g13. My timing belt start to give me annoying sound, where i need to use candle to smooth back the belt and for few min of driving, the sound came back. What should i do? Pls pm me..Thanks

bro, are you sure its the timing belt itself? or tha auxillary belt (air cond/fan belt) anyway if the t5iming belt giving noise, there is a high chance the belt will give out very soon.

Please check for sign of belt cracks
Faulty Tensioner
or leaking oil seal ( oil spilled to belt itself and causing pre-mature belt failure

i would suggest replacing the whole timing belt set (belt + seals + tensioner (bearing)) with quality ones and make sure that the foreman that carried out the job did a proper installation.

P.S ive seen many foreman likes to use flathead screwdriver to pry out the old oil sels, which are very bad practice.

in fact it create hairline cracks between the metal and oil seal surface that would allow oil to sip thru and pollute the belt itself.
