Hi hi, I have a myvi 2019 3GEN, feel there is a delay in my transmission, which there is 2 problems:
1. Morning when start the car, putting the gear to 'R' coz wanna reverse from garage, after finish (complete stop) I shift from 'R' to 'D', and press some gas on it, but the car won't move straight away, like have 1 second delay, then only the car will become shock and start to move forward

2. When waiting at traffic light, I put in 'N', then when light turn green, I shift to 'D', same problem happens, but this is not all the time, problem 1 happens all the time

Other than the above, when I accelerate and drive on highway, it feel smooth and don't feel any delay or vibrate

Did anyone has the same issue, can help to point out what's the problem here (is it costly to fix?), or I have to bring back to SC?

Thank you

does it jerk when it shifts? if it jerks means gearbox has issue. it is always costly to fix gearbox. 4AT average fixing price is rm2k on the cheapest scale

Hmm.. I am not sure what is ur definition of jerk, but for mine when I shift from R to D, I feel the gear does not engage yet, so when I press the gas, it will not move, then once it fully engaged, it will move forward suddenly, like a small shock to the driver and passenger whoever sit in the car, you will feel the unpleasant feeling of suddenly lurch forward the car..

that is the jerk. better check your gearbox oil, is it getting less? when was the last time you changed it? bigger issue can also be valve body

Ok understood, I just went back to SC 2 months ago, changed ATF fluid also.. if gearbox problem then kinda headache haha

Before service no issue?

Before service didn't quite notice, but after service this problem seems more obvious..

If your car still within 5 years, better go back to SC to check. GB have 5 years warranty if you don't missed any service at Perodua

Ok sure will go back to SC and ask them to check, thank you

GB got 4L fluid.

when they change, they usually just change the bottom part which contains 2 L. ( it's actualyl partialyl change, still got the old fluid inside)

Full flush GB oil change would take longer cause more troublesome

I am not sure about this, coz last time when i service, i only have this description.. so meaning they didnt do a complete job on this?

my myvi (late 2019) has the exact same delay minus the jerk/shock. there will be a delay of about 1 second before the car start moving. issue persist after atf oil change.
*
mine also same model with yours, basically have few problems:

1. gear issues as mentioned above (i think atf oil not the issue here, maybe the filter or gearbox damaged, need foreman to check further)
2. now when go thru highway/cornering, got noise coming from the front, suspect is bearing problem
3. go thru bumps or yellow lines, back bonnet got noise
4. brake now not that "makan" anymore, need to press harder then only have feel, sometimes driving mid range speed, if got car in front suddenly cut in your lane, you will feel very anxious becoz you can't bring down the speed immediately (changed brake pad and oil but couldn't solve the problem as well, suspect master pump got issue)
5. front passenger side dashboard also noise coming out like "det.. det.. det.." when travelling

anyway have inform SC about all these problem, will go back ask foreman to fix it next Mon. On the background noise, SC suggest to empty ur bonnet first so that it's easier for them to check where the noise is coming from, if can fix the above problems, will update here let u guys know again

lastly i expect the costs will be around rm1k to fix the above issues
