Hi hi, I have a myvi 2019 3GEN, feel there is a delay in my transmission, which there is 2 problems:
1. Morning when start the car, putting the gear to 'R' coz wanna reverse from garage, after finish (complete stop) I shift from 'R' to 'D', and press some gas on it, but the car won't move straight away, like have 1 second delay, then only the car will become shock and start to move forward

2. When waiting at traffic light, I put in 'N', then when light turn green, I shift to 'D', same problem happens, but this is not all the time, problem 1 happens all the time

Other than the above, when I accelerate and drive on highway, it feel smooth and don't feel any delay or vibrate

Did anyone has the same issue, can help to point out what's the problem here (is it costly to fix?), or I have to bring back to SC?

Thank you

does it jerk when it shifts? if it jerks means gearbox has issue. it is always costly to fix gearbox. 4AT average fixing price is rm2k on the cheapest scale. if it is other brand dealing with gearbox for cvt or other types can range from rm5k and above

Hmm.. I am not sure what is ur definition of jerk, but for mine when I shift from R to D, I feel the gear does not engage yet, so when I press the gas, it will not move, then once it fully engaged, it will move forward suddenly, like a small shock to the driver and passenger whoever sit in the car, you will feel the unpleasant feeling of suddenly lurch forward the car..

that is the jerk. better check your gearbox oil, is it getting less? when was the last time you changed it? bigger issue can also be valve body

Claim warranty new GB from SC je since under warranty. Don't add or chg ATF yourself since in Warranty period.

Before service didn't quite notice, but after service this problem seems more obvious..

If your car still within 5 years, better go back to SC to check. GB have 5 years warranty if you don't missed any service at Perodua

GB got 4L fluid.

when they change, they usually just change the bottom part which contains 2 L. ( it's actualyl partialyl change, still got the old fluid inside)

Full flush GB oil change would take longer cause more troublesome

Do a full service. Change the gear oil / transmission or whatever they call it. Basically change everything new.

If the problem still persists then likely it’s gearbox problem and it will be costly.

Check the mass air flow sensor first. Could be the culprit.
Search “mass air flow sensor” in YouTube to see how to solve the problem.
For me, cleaning it doesn’t work. So, have to replace it.

if the car is still under warranty and you still service in perodua
it's best to send back to perodua for warranty claim rather than fixing it yourself

Can try adding gear treatment with JV Auto Lube or E3 Oil, which sometimes can fix the problem.

my myvi (late 2019) has the exact same delay minus the jerk/shock. there will be a delay of about 1 second before the car start moving. issue persist after atf oil change.
