Hi all, want to ask has anyone changed their built-in wardrobe design before? If so, how do you go about it?
Did you repaint over the existing "skin"? Or you removed the old skin and change new one? Would like to do it to a subsale house as removing the whole wardrobe and rebuilding new one seems like a waste.

Typically the choices if there are little to no damage/wear:
1) Repaint (need to sand down the layer a bit + put high-adhesion primer before painting, otherwise the paint will chip off easily) 2) Vinyl wrap (no need to sand/prime, but usually recommend to sand a bit to ensure sticker works properly, need to math a bit to calculate length of vinyl needed)
If the laminate already chipped and peeling, can reglue (if only slight peeling) and then consider repaint/rewrap, or remove and reapply a new laminate (if got major peeling and/or chipped off).
If you're lucky to have a solid wood/plywood wardrobe, usually resand and refinish with a different wood stain if you really want to get an updated look, but usually no reason to do so if the wood is still good quality.
Personally for me I DIY Ikea type laminate with vinyl wrap.
