In the mean time, if you are using desktop browser then you can use Stylus or similar add-on to limit the length of quote like below. Not sure if Firefox mobile can do it or not.

Yes, I use Stylus on Firefox.

After install the add-on, open forum.
Click the add-on icon, mouse over "WWW" and click.
Add the code then click save button.

I thought you do not want long quote?
The "overflow" line is what make it scroll if the height exceed what
was set on the "nax-height" value else the extra content will be hidden.
