The Brumak is in the PC version !
And yes, the PC version will be a notch better than the X-Box 360 version. As PC Gamer says it "X-Box gamers will not be happy..." played this game in xbox360, really fantastic games...
Pc gamer will get better advantage than console as using mouse for FPS much more easier. but i afraid, the pc version would be much more difficult... edit:its not really FPS actually as we can see the character we played (3rd person shooter). but while aiming gun/using mchinegun, the view will change to FPS... not really better advantage as the developer would increase the recoil for the guns. but of course, the aiming part would be more natural.

An 8600GT with mid-end C2D cpu can do with decent speed....but u must have plenty of system ram i.e. 2GB. If u want to know if ur pc can support...just try Unreal tournament 3 demo...it uses d same engine.

From a PC and XBox360 owner, I can tell you that the feeling of playing on a big LCD and a small LCD is worlds apart.
If comparing my XBox360 connect to these 2: 1. 20" widescreen LCD monitor, at 12x10 stretch, wide 2. 37" widescreen LCD TV, 768p #1 actually has more pixels and the picture is sharper, but #2 is a WAY superior gaming experience. On the other hand, playing PC games on the LCD TV at 13x7, is inferior, because of lots of small text and icons and etc. |

There is MP of coz n there are servers available... To access them, u need an original GOW (which M'sia is darn slow) and also a Windows Live account (similar to Xbox Live but for PC only).. Then u r good to go....

Why are games these days so dark ? I mean look at the first screenshot, two models and solid basic black in the background. Nothing in real life is solid basic black. Seems to me this game doesn't do darkness very well. Even with no light, a one-room building with a door will still have light coming in the door. Solid black is very unnerving. In fact, in real life there's no such thing as total darkness. The whole place is way too dark for a buiding with windows and skylights.
I mean, talk about sitting duck. If you're outside in the light, and someone's inside in the dark, the moment you're in the doorway you're dead. He's accustomed to the dark and you are not. So your best hope is to toss a flash grenade in and then move in after the flash. Er, anyone who playing Gear Of War on pc will feeling lagging? Feel like loading something that kind, got ppl say this game is loading in realtime, so when we playing it will loading at the same time.
Although i set the low setting also feel laggy, i can't c the man swith on the door button, just jump fram and the door open already for example. |

Gears of War for the pc will require u to have an Active Microsoft Live Gold Membership to play ranked games. Sure, if u want, u can make a Free Silver Live Account, and play non-ranked games that will have less features and options.
I heard the game can go multiplayer but only play with random players. ok i fixed most of my problems with the game just 1 last one... i CANT CONTROL Fenix!!! when i move my mouse forward(x axis) it works BUT if i move it left or right (y axis) instead of turning left or right he moves FORWARD for left and BACKWARDS for right omg....so if i drag the mouse fast the game sees it as a double tap and ill jump to the nearest cover or wtv... i really cant play i cant even get out of the dam cell in the beginning of the game let alone be in a gun fight HELP!!!

i see none error... but the game keep crashing to desktop.
everytime the game shutter (looks like loading something heavy scene) then the game sudden crash back to desktop. everytime is random.. wats wrong? i hav tried lastest drivers.. latest live game. btw.. my pc is amd64 3200, 7600gt display, 1gb ram, win xp pro sp2.. requirement is met. |

Hmm.. My GoW rarely crash, just a couple of times since I installed it. But the stuttering is damn annoying! Setting texture to medium have no effect, just crappy graphics. Playing in XP is the best, smooth all the way.

Any of you guys on XP?
My monitor native res is 1600x1050 (16:10 aspect), and my 8600gts can't really handle that res without occasional stuttering ... but there are no options at all for a lower 16:10 aspect. Bioshock on Vista lets you choose 1280x800 (also 16:10) for a full-screen stretch, but Bioshock on XP doesn't have that option, so I'm wondering if it's the same for GoW. At the moment I'm using 11x86 but it's a 4:3 aspect so I got black bars on left/right of my screen and it's a "waste" of screen space. Any ideas? I'm using the latest beta nvidia drivers. |

it's a great game. but the lagging is killing me.
finished it this afternoon. sp campaign is quite short. |

OH YEAH I managed to figure it out
1280x800 with all max settings and forced 4x AA via Nvidia control panel gives a framerate of 35-45fps ... 1440x900 is also doable but during intense gunfights framerate drops to 25-ish ... I'm really really surprised that my crappy 8600gts is up to the task. [edit] Hmm looking at the screenshot closely it doesn't seem that AA is on at all ... hmmmm ... urs r ori version rite? mine dont lag pun my spec r not so high u can see my signture 4 my rig n i play 1280x1024 at high on every setting..just lag when checkpoint or too heavy gunfight |

damn...very the laggy for this game. LOL...bad performance. tried every settings but all the same. guess its the engine.
some ppl reported that changing the warengineusersettings.ini for this parameter: OnlyStreamInTextures=False to True might improve the gameplay. it reduced my shuttering a bit. but not sure how much as din capture the FPS. hehe... |

im having the same problem when running on my pc
my pc spec is quite decent(refer to sig) it's kinda lag and annoying at certain point,i hope this is just a bug issue... |

so u guys also feel some lag ? izzit the lag is as frequent as every 4secs ?
I notice the lag is quite weird, it's not about graphic memory or watsoever, bcoz when in gun fighting with many enemies my fps still remain around there..just the "weird lag" happen non stop, quite annoying .. |

tell u man, i tried to lower all the settings, and it still lags. so i think it is not the hardwares. the game itself needs some tweaks.

ur comp not so bad la, should be able to run it med-low shadows low, cuz it is a performance killer guys, no need forced AA lah, the game is oredi looks great with all high and 1024x768....hehe |

For me, if i want to get a new core, better make it the highest (545 last i check). I plan to use my pc for 5 years, and its nearing 1 already. Card no change, only the core. hehe
I've tried oblivion before, and i believe this one will work out too. |

this games doesnt work well with ATItool,rivatuner,omega, even I oc my gc with one of those, my GOW became more lag and crashed eventually

juz tried out.... graphic is superb, by far the best graphic i had play b4 and i think it looks better than crysis. For me the game graphic/system requirement ratio is very good. I'm sure a 8800GT wif dual core can play the game superbly well ^^

Look for the walkthrough at gamefaqs.com. As for the stuttering, i defrag my disk and play in windows xp, no lag.

Check the "My Games" folder inside your "My Document". Inside should have a GoW folder, delete that then start your game. it really is not the system. The game is buggy...
I heard lots of stuttering issues in this game in Epic Games forum... and some of them even using 8800GTX SLi |

ahhhh... i cant play GOW!! just tried and it's far to laggy even at 640x480 lowest setting. =[
spec barton 2600+ 1gb ram radeon 9600xt.. actually kinda expect dat.. it's a 4 year old com nia.. i only got a budget of rm300. what should i do? i'm tinking of getting a 2nd hand 7600gs. with 7600gs is it able to play at 1024x768 at mid setting? anyone own a 7600gs? |

i solved the crashing problem..
im using window xp sp2. all i do is delete WarGame-G4WLive.exe.cfg in GOW directory. The game run incredible smooth.. but the bad thing is i cannot save game, modify keys... i least i can enjoy few hour plays no crash at all... make sure setting video, audio, gameplay b4 u delete wargame-g4wlive.exe.cfg. Backup the file 1st of course at least i confirm the crash problem is not our system problem.. not drivers or other programs.. its just microsoft game for live giving too much problem. After disable it.. all my friends's pc can oso run well.. btw... my rig is amd3200+, 7600gt, 1gb ram running 1024x768 all high setting. Even kaspersky anti virus running. No crash. |

WOW!!! Why everyone got so many problems with GOW?? Din encounter any problems except forget to update drivers....
If u buy original copy, u will get 1month gold membership for free.... Then if u wanna extend, just pay necessary fees to do so.... Here's a tip... For anyone encountering problems, just update ur windows and ur display drivers.... If u did that and cannot, possibly a clean and refresh OS should do the trick.... for me was stuttering every 3 secs, even GOW forums ppl b****ing already....
I tried to put in a settings change, now it will hang and direct jump out. There was no warning at all....haih...game looked sooo fine and was happy with at 30-50fps.... |

hey guys, I have tried this method and it seems like the crashing does not appear anymore. I'll explain the method to u guys. Whether it helps or not , pls reply here. I wanted to know whether it's a real solution.
First get urself another version of xlive redist from (default version 1.1.0322, and this one is 1.2.0238): http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/0...ist1.2.0238.msi and install it. run the game and continue ur campaign, when u're in the game, paused it and minimize the game. Then go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries find a file called WarGame-G4WLive.exe (REMEMBER It's 1kb only, if it's not 1kb u probably found a diff one), open it with notepad. Change tis code from the file: <OriginalXliveTarget>1.1.0322.0</OriginalXliveTarget> to <OriginalXliveTarget>1.2.0238.0</OriginalXliveTarget> then save it. And continue wif ur game. Enjoy and play until u feel u wanted to quit, pause the game again. Minimize it and open the WarGame-G4WLive.exe file wif notepad again. Change the code from: <OriginalXliveTarget>1.2.0238.0</OriginalXliveTarget> to <OriginalXliveTarget>1.1.0322.0</OriginalXliveTarget> save and close. Then return back to the game. And press quit game. And there u able to finish ur game without crashing! (Remember, although the game said that it won't save ur checkpoint, but it actually does, so dun worry) Why i think it helps? GoW requires this xliveredist to save ur game progress and personal setting, the default version 1.1.0322 enable u to auto save the game, but auto save by xlive will crash ur game. Therefore, u need to load ur continue campaign first wif default xlive then disable the auto save by changing xliveredist version. When u wanted to quit, u restore the default version xlive. sparow can save, just dont connect to the internet when u play....
if u r not conected, the save files wont hilang one..seriusly.... make sure disconected 1st b4 start the game.. |

I previously had Vsync enabled..but there was still slight tearing..with vsync off..the tearing was not so bad..so I decided to keep it off..plus..less laggy =P
And tried playing co-op using Hamachi, and it did not work =/ |

I hate LIVE. They made my gaming life miserable...
I won't buy originals which needed or have integrate LIVE for online play after this. GoW will be my final one... Gaming and online games used to be so simple... just click multiplayer and you are good to go... Microsoft ruined it for me... and I regret having gone original with this. |

i got a rig which is C2D 6750 2.66GHz, Intel P35 Board, 2GB Ram, Gecube HD3850, ori Vista HOme, ori GOW, all drivers up to date running the game so far didn't encounter crash at all but the game is totally unplayable! my problem now is every 5 sec the fps will drop from 40++ to 1 - 5 fps, my brother's rig is AMD x2 4000, 2GB RAM, 1950PRO, XP SP2 ahem version, GOW ahem version run pretty smooth and get constant 30++ fps, i getting crazy bout this, i even set the graphic lower than my bro setting but the result getting more worst!
but i'm sure my card hd3850 perform is more better than x1950pro on every game i played, BTW i need to ask is there anyone having this problem too? i hope someone can help me solve the problem! |

but i using ati CCC 7.10, no background or any 3rd party software running while i playing the game, and i turn off antivirus every time i play any games, i just don't get it, if i knew this happen better i buy jack sparrow version and would not leave a hole on my pocket, SOB SOB!

Meh, from the hamachi forums, apparently GoW slaps a 30ms ping limit for LAN games ... i.e. if you're trying to use hamachi to simulate LAN, you need to be able to ping your friend under 30ms to play =_=;;
I tried the whole night but no success ... even tho my friend lives 15mins drive away, our pings were 45-50ms ... Not sure about the PC version, but versus for the 360 version is 4-on-4 only (Gears vs Locust). By far my favorite thing to do is charge --> chainsaw (you take ridiculously little damage when you're charging), this only works on people new to versus though

izit happen to u guys when ur checkpoint or saved game are missing ... after playing several hour then shut down n then next day run the gow .. there are now checkpoint, only act1 and act5 ... or start form the beginning
