that looks pretty sweet. although i kinda liked the look of War of the Lions better. but since this is a direct sequel to tactics advance (is that what the A2 stands for?) I think the storyline would be decent.
and tactics will play better with a stylus, imo.
is that the boss battle theme for final fantasy XII I hear playing at the end?

Final Fantasy Tactic A2, the A2 means Advance 2.
This story is believe is the sequel to the GBA's one, which is Final Fantasy Tactic Advance.

i prefer tactics ogre over final fantasy tactics for the GBA but from the look of the videos..the nds sequel looks promising. wonder how the gameplay is gonna be like.. rolleyes.gif oo ya btw, which came out first (in terms of original idea and concept) ffa or tactics ogre?

Not really impressed with the graphics. The GBA could probably handle those. Let's hope the gameplay makes up for that.

It is so wrong that the downloaded/pirated version reaches us before the originals. I've gotten the "Yes, already sampai. RM5 please" answer so many times I no longer get annoyed.

Freakin Doublecast =(

so far, i havent had a problem, if u dont have the items now, u'll get it later. items are basically the same u use in the bazaar so they're plenty of it but just dont go using it halfway in a mission tongue.gif

You cannot use items earmarked for missions after you've accepted the mission. They are set aside IINM.

i actually face this problem in the tactics..

one of my unit blackmage has silence & sleep.
but the sleep seems to be grayed out (yet to master) and silence is made available.
is that normal ?

Bought it and I'm right after my first auction. I swear to god this game hates me or something. The Laws are just IMPOSSIBLE to not break.

take this for example:
laws: NO BACKSTABS
Sexy Cobra Lady used Kiss on Paladin!
DOOM!
CHARM!
Paladin goes behind Archer and backstabs him!
Archer dies!
VIOLATION!
Archer dies FOREVER!
Paladin dies of Doom!
DS flies through window!

but the penalty isn't as harsh if you break the law. unless of course, you are doing a clan trial.

oh but it's addictive as hell though.

it's not that hard to not break the law aside from a few ones like not to miss a hit or not hitbacks or avoid getting stolen.

abiding by it is only useful early on when some of the items are great. later on, u'll break them quite alot. no biggie

the only good thing abt laws is the regen bonus which almost makes having a healer worthless

You get more bonuses when you finish more clan trials. I find that the Regen bonus worthless once your HP hits the >200 mark. Also using Agility +3 when a law dictates "No Misses" is particulaOH MY GOD YOU MISSED?! HOW CAN YOU MISS IT'S A 95% CHANCE FOR HIT YOU STUPID PIECE OF ARRRRRRRRGH

i hate this game so much.

oh what are your favourite classes? Mine would be the Moogle Fusilier-Knight and the Ranger. Mirror item + Item Lore ftw.

really? my hp's like 400++ and i still use regen. casting haste and someone cures the person faster than a cure spell tongue.gif

5% chance to miss what tongue.gif

i like Fusilier too. very useful early on but damage too little.

other than that, fighters for good stat growth and backdraft, aura blast, ninja for double wield, master monk for cross counter, parivir for sky fury blade and hoarfrost blade, all the ultimate skills( gladiator, assasin, hunter)

i think the special classes are quite useless, sky pirates, bards, dancer, nothing interesting. i just unlocked adelle's heritorar but nothing useful so far.

one of the missions was to weaken the dragon and kill the others.

it was so dumb that when I attacked the dragon, it got Critical-ed, fell down the cliff, and died.

how often do you dispatch yr units ? i've yet to dispatch any.
it seems that my hero-ranger is the weakest unit of all ~ deals too little dmg.

the game is relatively easy even at hard mode
FFTA pains me more with hardcore laws and jails xD
judges in FFTA2 doesn't punish that hard compared to the old game

though some of them are ridiculous
breaking them doesn't bring that much annoyance compared to the old FFTA

299 missions done tongue.gif
now with the final mission
have to travel all over jylland to search for a stupid golem which could be anywhere in the map
and the mission duration is 1 year xD

no stealing and no status change actually ok as you can have privilages that negate that. It's stuff like no miss which is wtf. I dislike no harming weaker too, but i think that is to 'force' you to use your reserves.
also, there's some that are blatantly pointless/stupid/fun breaking - how about a law that says no harming viera when there's 5 of them on the other team?
also, methinks the story characters are unbalanced. No special viera character shocking.gif

I used Viera quite alot back with the FFTA, white mage + red mage combo (doublecast FTW) or Sniper + Assassin + Concentrate combo are my favourite. The later one is a really overpowered monster combo, nothing can beat it.

Added on July 30, 2008, 6:37 pmFinally finished the main quests, still have 20+ missions left. It is sad that the side quests have much better story than the main one.

I don't think it's possible to know the law for each battle in advance, the only way to know is to check the FAQs/Walkthroughs from GameFAQs. All battles have their set laws already if I'm not mistaken; for instance, the law for sub-quest or 'random battle' One-Eye Evil in Galerria Deep is always "No Copycat".

duh, so different from ffta where we can purposely enter a battle with different laws imposed.

Clan trails does not disappear after completion, you can retake it as many times as you want. And frankly, the whole way of getting new clan privillages is very confusing.

i think levels 1, 3 and 5 gives you a new privi. Not all of them are too useful though.

Fuyo, this game rocks in hard mode la. I am lucky that i got this from pm as he has unlocked the hard mode.

I have always felt that ffta is a tad boring even though it is still addictive due to its lack of difficulty. Now this hard mode is really my cup of tea!
