Hi guys, just want find out whether MS has totally blocked Credit Card from Malaysia? I used to purchase the MS live point thru market place using my visa credit card with a valid singapore address, but last few days I'm not able to go thru with the transaction as it cannot authorised my credit card. I know that the recent dashboard update, there's some impact on these. I did change my address same as my CC billing address except for the postcode but it's unsuccessfull . Does anyone of you experience the same thing or you guy still can purchase using your CC? Does this mean I have to purchase the Live point card from PA? reason being is live point card only offer 1600 point but marketplace offer 3 type of points. Any suggestion and help from you guy is appreciated!

Of course not..most of my cc will expire in 2010. I can't use my previous Visa that I use to purchase before, my gold visa, my master card...non will work. I assume now their also check your cc billing postcode.

what bout ur postcode? same with me..use home address as my cc billing...but I was unlucky as my previous cc that I've used was upgrade to gold card so the numbers change. So I need to register new cc but the system wont authorised your cc no matter what method I've tried. I've also tried to buy the live point thru xbox.com but still result was the same.

Xeno, can you try to add new payment (new cc) and see if its working or not?

U just got the gold membership right ... did u try to buy other stuff using the gold CC. Some Gold CC need to be activate 1st cuz the CC compant upgrade it. Once u activate it .. then it will work. Let me know.

Activated it already and bought a lot of stuff using the gold cc...but not work with MS Live point. Tried also using my maybank mastercard..same result.

U buying the LIVE points from SG or US marketplace ?

I have 3 account - 2 US and 1 SG, both cannot...can somebody confirm this? is microsoft banned cc from msia for new payment?

no problem for me, last time i purchase the MS Live point using my citibank visa CC. All use local address just the postcode use singapore postcode. Thats the way.Hope it would help.Selamat hari raya, nak kuih raya!

1. if u just signup ur cc on xboxlive u have to wait 12-24hour procces.
2. buying MS point using cc only allow with ur singapore account.(gamertag with sg register)
3. enjoy.

I've used my visa previously to purchase Live point with SG account and SG address but since citibank has issued me a new gold card and the number change so I have to add new payment to the system. This time..what ever method I tried seems failed;

1. Using my credit card billing address except for postcode - failed
2. Using SG adress - failed
3. Using web browser and went to xbox.com and try to add my credit card detail also failed
4. Tried my Mastercard and other visa credit card also failed.

Now i'm clueless but resort my problem by purchase the live point card from PA. Damn, have to wait another 3-4 days from fedex.

well my visa working fine i hope they brock my cc so i dont have to pay for 1 year live sub. thx to the auto renew MS.

I tried purchasing some points recently using my EON Card, and it's working fine.

Maybe you can call your bank up and ask them whether there are any transactions from the Xbox Live service.

I suffered from the same problem with the PSN. Apparently, the bank did not approve the card registration to the service because PSN charges 10 cents to the card to determine the validity of the card. In my case, it's not until I give EON a call.

If that still doesn't work, there's always PlayAsia or your local game shop.

sounds to me they have already tied your account with the first card. i have read that they will tie your cc for life when you use your cc. so all is fine if you never change cc but if you want to cancel your subscription your SOL as you have to jump through a lot of hoops...

Yup. Happened to my friend. They tied the acc to ONE CC, so there's nothing he could do. In the end he cancelled his CC and got a new one. Lesson learnt: with MS, stick with prepaid cards, LOL.

hey bump this thread as i also have the same problem.

i understand now that only one CC is tied to one account. which explains why i couldn't add the same CC to my US account as i already have it tied to my SG account.

now i think i have to check with the bank if they blocked it as they maybe detected the card to be registered under 2 diff postcodes, and thought it was fraud.

bought MS points before this and renewed to GOLD, no problems whatsoever.

looks like i have to wait till my MC debit card activates for me to use it with my US account.

But in my case, my visa already tied with my US account, tried to register my mastercard with SG account...also cannot.

hmm...that's weird. other people have no problems purchasing things...so don't think there's a blocking issue from MS's side. I hope so at least.

Ah well..if indeed my CC is blocked by the bank..they would call me up soon. I tried purchasing from xbox.com with the same error - invalid credit card information, or something like tht.

aww man..hope they don't block because of the region thingy man...stupid MS if they do...

US live accounts couldn't buy ms points online for more than a year already. but for subscription fees, the card is still works. maybe they're starting this for SG accounts too?

I think our credit cards have all been disabled so you'll need to get the MS prepaid cards instead.
