Why CKD cars are having so bad quality?

- lek lu, sap kok lu
- bukan kete i, buat baik2 utk apo
- kerja susah2, gaji sama, baik kerja relax

Not sure which car you are talking bout but for certain cars like Mercedes, their ckd has been documented to be of better quality than the CBU which is from Africa

as someone work in automotive chip assembly, the chip is as good as the operator attitude.

no matter how good the engineers are, at the end run production operators yang jaga.

just now the x90 thread everyone say china car design right? but if any of the chip malfunction especially cars now with all the electronics system even more chances it will breakdown

i can give you some hint about the quality here. byd and geely currently returning chip because defect.

i am qualifying for tesla chip, and boy that tsmc die that they use giving so much problem. project delay and delay.

and for fellow /ktard, future tesla that u buy may have chips that i qualify. kek, your hand in the mercy of the operators here.

But but but.... Toyotas are generally considered to be highly reliable vehicles.
Often top lists of most reliable cars, are said to last longer than nearly any other brand, and rarely break down.
If you're looking for reliability, Toyota is hard to beat.

For cheap cars like c class and E classes even S class all are ckd and our CBUs are African CBUs usually at the early phase of introduction of new models
Only Germany CBUs are those AMGs one man one machine, where we do not CKD so can’t be compared
So far my CKD Mercs are doing ok but heard some are facing electronics issues. These components are from Germany so probably it is similar overseas.
My Bimmer is doing ok only a few parts like tie rod some having issues but again are part issues from Germany

Our Malaysia Mercedes assembly back then was the first in the world to assemble S class out of Germany. Yes the first and only back then. That was how good we were. As time goes on other countries caught up
If I’m not mistaken, our Porsche CKD is the only one out of Europe as well. I think it is currently the only one

Even assembly in thailand is way better. Not only cars, same goes to electrical products that you see today in msia.

Go electrical fair, ask any japan brand, all thailand assembly.

QA engineers are there to ensure there's a QA engineer. No question whether they really do QA or not.

Because Malaysians can be easily fooled with their money. Most of Malaysians does not care actually. So car producers take advantage of this.

Malaysia have becoming dumping ground for old models of cars since in Europe and USA they are moving to EV cars. Internal combustion engine models are being dumped here in Malaysia.

Cx5, I think was ckd-ed from 2014 (their cx5 cbu then was thailand assemble), cx30 was only recently added to the msia ckd, 2022 if not wrong
