What we should know about the number of blades for ceiling fan? 3 blades vs 5 blades, which one provide better airflow and efficiency? Does the size of blade matters too? why? How about the height of fan rod?

How can we determine the fan size based on sf ft? Let say I have room size as below, how many inch fan size should I use.
Living room with 350 sq ft = ?? inch fan size
Master room with 145 sq ft = ?? inch fan size
Room 2 with 95 sq ft = ?? inch fan size
room 3 with 66 sq ft = ?? inch fan size

How about blade materials? ABS vs plastic, how can we make a choice?

size does matter.. numbers of blade is just fine.. i did have 3 blades at living area, and the speed and wind distribution still good..

size matter due to your lighting.. there is some measurement in term of gap distance between fan & light to avoid shadows cause by fan.. e.g. small bedroom, can only have baby fan then dont get standard 56" blades..

Size matters especially in room. If the fan is too big, you will end up with no wind at all.

fan size & qty does matter, i.e. if your living room is big you might need 2 fans to be comfortable.

Have you see a propeller air plane with just 2 blades?

Blade number doesn't matter but blade size and spinning speed.

ABS is a type of plastic.

Agree in relation to the lighting. This should also be factor i.e., where will you hang your fans relative to your ceiling light source.

Personally, I went with 3 bladed fans because I like the minimalist look. Works so far for me.
