TVs have to have DVB-T tuners built in.
DVB-T and DAB are similar technology, but different frequency (DAB uses the old VHF III band).
Most TV sales staff I met at some stores are blur sotong when I ask "This model got digital tuner or not?" Blank face.... bangwall.gif
I might as well phone the manufacturer direct to ask. Model phamplet specifications aren't always 100% accurate and may apply to other markets.
Anyway, I think government ain't very enthused about this feature at the moment, topic stagnated for as long as I know.

DAB never happened in Malaysia. The future was supposed to be using a DVB-T variant, but Internet radio streaming over 4G is more likely to be the way forward.
We are lucky here with fairly generous data plans.
actually, someone reported that in Klang Valley, the DAB+ trial is still on since 2009:

Trial installation is still on air, but I have not heard of any plans to expand it. Very few cars in Malaysia have a DAB radio and they are the advertisers audience.
