The following announcement was issued in conjunction with the Visit to Malaysia by Master Lu Shenyang and is scheduled to hold events this month in Malaysia. Please take note the annoncement by the 7 Buddhists associations as below.

Joint Press Statement

by Major Buddhist Organizations in Malaysia

We, the following Buddhist organisations, refer to the recent newspaper advertisement on the major Chinese dailies regarding various events to be organized by Persekutuan Agama Buddha Tantrayana Chen Foh Chong Malaysia (The True Buddha School) and presided by Lu Sheng Yan, which will be held in various venues in Kuala Lumpur .

We would like to advise all Malaysian Buddhists and the general public that the following Buddhist organizations do not endorse the above events.

We also wish to advise that " True Buddha School " is not recognized as a genuine Buddhist tradition by major Buddhist organizations in the country.

We would further like to advise the public to verify the proper lineages of any self-proclaimed "Living Buddha" and examine carefully if his conduct and teaching are in accordance to Buddhist principle and Buddha's teaching before accepting him as a teacher.

If any of the members of the public is interested in Buddha's teaching, one should contact any of the following Buddhist Organisations or their branches or members.

Joint Statement by

Malaysia Buddhist Association

Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM)

Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia

Sasana Abhiwurdhi Wardhana Society

Buddha's Light International Association of Malaysia (FoGuang)

I don't really know if this way of handling Lu Shen Yang's True Buddha School is correct or not, but I do know that if you are interested to learn more on Buddhism, to learn it from a genuine Buddhist master/organisation.

Many Buddhists don't even realise the beauty of their religion. It's not just light a few jossticks, pray and put it in the urn. It's also not faith alone. There's more than that. Much much more. So, learn from a true Buddhist association/ true masters.
