for those who are travelling from Macau to HK using Ferry... better choose TurboJet as its faster and more stable then NWF..

im regret that i took NWF on my last trip in July '07; becoz i wanna get down from Kowloon and goto the hotel in Mongkok, its the only choice... the ferry is slow(compare to Turbojet), age older, and not that stable when the wave is higher.... u'll get dizzy....

i heard from my HK friend, they usually compare them as Public Bus(NWF) and Executive Coach(TurboJet).

for those who would like to stay in Mongkok, can try MetroPark Hotel Kowloon in Waterloo Road (窝打老道). its room is as spacious as our Hotel room in KL. the room is big enough to put 2 single bed + 1 extra bed + 2 small sofa and plenty of space to walk around with your luggage putting on floor.. its a 3 star hotel, and very near to "woman street", just 10~15min walks.
*
yes, last year when i went to Macau, also use Turbojet...much more faster...
Good...very good....I stayed at Metropark Hotel(Kowloon) when i was at Hong Kong, the room was very big...
i don know whether my room was a special one where in the bathroom, there was curtain inside the bathroom, you can control it to scroll down or up...hehe....maybe for those couple one...
yup, very near to Ladies Street,we walked there...

The price I paid for the air ticket (2 person) is RM880 for the month of Aug. Wanted to choose Sept at first but afraid the summer sales over already. Where do you plan to stay?

hi joce, I'm not sure about Aug sale now 'coz economy this year is good, so shops might delay and shorten the sale period. But there are still opportunities for some sale due to Beijing Olympic.

Yep, hotel rate is expected to be very high and rooms are critical also due to Beijing Olympic. Please book your accomodation asap..

HK-Shenzhen about 1hr by MTR East Rail Line.
Sorry x-zen I have no idea..
Please don't spread incorrect info and create unnecessary worry for those who have planned and booked their trip to HK.

Yep it's flu season now in South China areas including HK & Macau, but if you've done preparation then it'd be ok. My advices are, wash your hands with soap more often, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth before you wash your hands with soap, drink more water & have enough sleep to strength your immunity, stay away from coughing people if possible especially in crowded places. If you still scared, have flu vaccine 1 week before your trip.

Those kids died from flu related illness were infected with H1 virus, not H3 nor H5, as per local news. Also, the virus seems to attack young kids rather than healthy adults in this season.
It's NOT SARS. Please read HK news online for more detailed info.

Sep is still very long time from now, and flu mainly happens in Spring, ie. March - April. If HK have flu season throughout the whole year I think 7millions HK ppl will soon be extinct..
I wonder how well do you know about this news?
"Flights and Fuel surcharges are subject to regulatory approval" may means their HK direct flights have not got fully approval from gov't. Also the fuel surcharges may not be approved at the moment and might be adjusted even after your booking is confirmed.

You can ask AirAsia which transfer company they use for your airport transfer. If it's operated by Vigor, they have counters in both arrival hall A & B, it's just located right in front when you walk out to the arrival hall.
AirAsia advertise their direct flights to KL in HK too. The fare is HKD99 per head but I heard the taxes & surcharges added up to HKD7xx already.
Yes it's still very hot & humid in Sep. This year may have more typhoon then usual 'coz of the special climate this year. Watch out for typhoon news before your departure.
Jul not yet started crazy sale. Even if there is any sale, the discount rate will not be very high.

Don't worry, it'll be super hot during Aug, the hottest month of summer!
yep, sale would starts in Sep.
*
hmm...i guess the flu season will goes off very soon...don't worry guys... blush.gif

huh?u mean even after we confirm our booking and paid already, they will still charge us is it?

So the crazy sale starts in the month of September la?? rclxms.gif rclxms.gif drool.gif drool.gif
so the month of September will still very hot ah....

Hi Terry,

Welcome to HK again smile.gif What kinda info you'd like to know?

About the weather, not sure if it will be very cold or just cool or warm 'coz temperature fluctuate a lot in this year's winter. Like last year FEB, we had a long freezing FEB with cold weather alert was issued by HK Observatory for 24 consecutive days! Suggest you to check the weather forecast 5 days before your departure.

Would still be some sale in Feb 'coz it's end of the season, shops will want to clear up all the this year's Winter stock and preparing for the new Spring/Summer arrival! Good luck~
*
hihih....so happy!just came back from Hong Kong last September.
we booked Cathay Pacific Airlines this time. cool! hope the weather is not too cold.wanna feel the cold feeling at Hong Kong.
Hmm....any info I would wan to know ar,hmm....basically about sales,ya,clearance sales for winter clothes, but doesn't suits Malaysian weather, guess have to try our luck then. HK's clothing really very nice and fashionable.thought of going on September, but because can't wait for shopping, thats why we made it earlier....wahahaha.....
drool.gif
the spring/summer new arrivals, will we be able to see it by the time we come?I mean within the month of FEB?
Metropark Kowloon really a good hotel, they offer good service, and they offer free shuttle bus service also, that one we can save a lot of money...
Now with the help of my GPS,travelling in Hong Kong will not be a problem to us....very easy! icon_rolleyes.gif
