If anyone has been following F1 discreetly, this Championship has been prophesied since when he joins sauber in 2001. All the events unfolding thereafter has been somewhat partially 'orchestrated' to make way for this to be possible.....and yes....including Michela Shumacher's so called 'retirement'.

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Oct 22 2007, 02:33 AM) That was ONE publication from an article written by ONE person. With Hamilton-mania, a lot more than ONE. I understand your liking for sources. I appreciate that as well to end all arguments on whether my statements can be verified or not but I believe that you have read pro-Hamilton articles enough this season for me not to post links. But if you insist, give me time. It is because Finland is full of Kimis and if their press do go Kimi-madness, not alot of us can read Fins can we? Now if you don't mind, mind giving me source for pro-Kimi madness apart from that one article? Because that cover to me is just to say that Kimi will become world champion because Ferrari have an eye on him and not because he's a legend without winning a GP as said by Mark Hughes. Unfortunately Lewis is British, English speaking and most F1 publication is in English, and most ppl speaks and read english. The press wants only the hottest stories and Lewis's stories make money...so the go for it. Kimi is an old show. And because F1 is money. |

QUOTE(evoHahn @ Oct 22 2007, 02:40 AM) well i must ask you this first. How long have you been reading F1 Racing Mag? and Autosport mag? Yup thats rite....Kimi has consistenly been covered....nothing particularly Lewis-mania magnitude...but its even and consistent.F1 Racing Nov 06, may 07, april 07, to name a few have Kimi's face on it plus exclusive interviews. You see when Kimi's is at McLaren, he's in a British team. So the mania started long before he signed for Ferrari. Mika had the same also. |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Oct 22 2007, 02:44 AM) I knew you were going to say that but the Brits, knowingly that their stories/broadcast will be to a GLOBAL audience would have to be more careful with their stories and not just type what they like. So Lewis-manis wouldnt be a suprise i think...i wasnt suprised at all. |

This is the real reason behind the penalty not being imposed.
Furthermore, they made it clear that they did not have certain data in their possession that would have helped prove the teams were in breach of the regulations. In particular, their statement said they lacked: 'a precise reading of the temperature of 'fuel on board the car' which shows fuel at more than 10 degrees centigrade below ambient temperature'; and 'a regulation stating in clear terms that for the purposes of Article (6.5.5) the definitive ambient temperature shall be indicated on the FOM timing monitors alone.' The statement added: 'In view of the matters referred to above, the stewards consider that not withstanding the presumptions referred to above there must be sufficient doubt as to both the temperature of the fuel actually 'on board the car' and also as to the true ambient temperature as to render it inappropriate to impose a penalty.' I see very less ppl talk about the core racing here. Abt the commentray thing, i bet we would see the same thing (if not better) if Hasbullah Awang we to do the commentary when Alex Yoong was in F1. |

I think FIA is somewhat has to promote consistency in their verdicts when it comes to cases like this.
It has been clear in recent FIA verdict that Drivers Championship points werent deducted in a case where the car specs or the team is at fault. |

The appeal by McLaren is to clarify things if this happens again in the future.
Although there is no indicator in the car that says theyve breach the temps, there is something to be gain (not in terms of WDC points) in case advantage is gained with that act, deliberate or not. This will be important in the future if any teams are racing with others with this same scenario. |

QUOTE(kapitan @ Oct 24 2007, 07:17 PM) Hehe... you said to clarify... Of course its cheeky and the obvious says so.Do you know that this is not the first time fuel irregularity happen in F1? To clarify or to gain advantage for Hamilton? McLaren is a bit cheeky here... They said they are appealing for clarification.. Once FIA said we should remove those drivers, and Hamilton will get the points he need. Then even if Hamilton doesnt want the title, McLaren make it sounds like, "oh we are giving the title to you". Taking the glory from Raikonen after they messed up. Brilliant but cheeky you can say. Someone will come forward and says, Ferrari will do the same too.. LOL I dont support Ferrari either but I too think chance are 99% they will do the same thing. Thats why I dont support teams anymore.. I rather watch my fav drivers battle themselves on the track than to bother about politic in F1. But u have to see the future implications to this glitch. Like i said earlier, Even if those 4 drivers found guilty by FIA, IMHO, only the constructors points will be taken away. McLaren knows and forsee what the fan and media will say abt their move. But McLaren is a unique racing team. Not many modern time put everything on the line to have their drivers handles the race on equal grounds.....regardless of what the media says. And see who is the better racer. IMHO, thats how you should race. |
