Sony's license is over.
They started back in 2003 where they got themselves into a 4-year deal. So basically 2007 is their last.
And till now, there is no sign that Sony is renewing their license.
Well, still waiting for the chequered flag to be waved for the license to go to somebody else.

PS: no point for me for answering that question?! tongue.gif laugh.gif

I wonder what would be the fate of Alonso.
Renault seems to be a good choice since they have been resting and dreaming, so their good would be as fast as what they have dreamt in the next season.

De la Rosa i guess will takeover Alonso's seat eh.

Bernie Ecclestone holds crisis meeting
By Kevin Garside
9:47pm GMT 09/11/2007

QUOTE
Formula One powerbroker Bernie Ecclestone called a crisis meeting at his London headquarters yesterday as more damaging details surrounding the sport's latest spy controversy emerged.

High-powered representatives from each team, apart from Ferrari, McLaren and Renault, whose cases are ongoing, were ordered to attend yesterday's talks.

Ecclestone is determined to establish the nature and full extent of espionage within F1 and cut out the cancer at source. It is believed teams will submit to root-and-branch internal investigations to flush out suspect practices. The hope is that any indiscretions can be dealt with internally to prevent further damaging revelations.

Heard "rumor-rumor" that FIA is going to put a restriction to using standard brakes. Anybody can confirm this?

I wonder what is going to be their next move, FIA.
Ban on using adhesive stickers on the car?!

Dennis stands by equal driver policy
Friday, 25, January, 2008, 11:31
QUOTE
McLaren fully intends to maintain its equal driver status policy in 2008, despite the discord that it caused between Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton last season.

Team principal Ron Dennis told the official Formula 1 website that while he expects Lewis Hamilton to once again challenge for the world title this year, he believes new team-mate Heikki Kovalainen also has the capability to do so and will be given every opportunity to prove it.

"We've always treated our drivers equally, and we intend to continue to do so," said Dennis.

"This year, both Lewis and Heikki are entirely happy with that policy, and I anticipate no problems from either of them in that regard.

"I expect them to be competitive and collaborative in equal measure."

McLaren was widely perceived to have lost the drivers' title in 2007 because it failed to contain the feud between Alonso and Hamilton while staunchly refusing to support one over the other in a bid to win the title.

Hamilton revives rift with Alonso
Thursday, 24 January 2008, 14:41 GMT
QUOTE
"He showed me just how not to behave as an F1 driver," said Hamilton.

"He was [the leader] at the beginning, wasn't he - but it changed. We should be a team. It should be equal,"
