QUOTE(maranello55 @ Oct 22 2007, 02:42 AM) It is because Finland is full of Kimis and if their press do go Kimi-madness, not alot of us can read Fins can we? I knew you were going to say that but the Brits, knowingly that their stories/broadcast will be to a GLOBAL audience would have to be more careful with their stories and not just type what they like.Unfortunately Lewis is British, English speaking and most F1 publication is in English, and most ppl speaks and read english. The press wants only the hottest stories and Lewis's stories make money...so the go for it. Kimi is an old show. And because F1 is money. |

QUOTE(chitchat @ Oct 22 2007, 02:30 AM) actually is about teamwork.. imagine ALONSO slow down and let HAMILTON take 6th spot. HAMILTON will have won it. err i thought team orders can only be done in the pits ? IINM i heard the commentators said that during the race just now. Correct me if im wrongnice teamwork from MASSA blocking HAMILTON at race start and actually MASSA didnt "really" give his 1st place to KIMI. KIMI won by his driving skill he drive faster than MASSA as u can see thru the faster lap time especially when MASSA went in for 2nd stop. CONGRAT FERRARI !! so much excitement in 2007 championship hope next year will be better. |

QUOTE(evoHahn @ Oct 22 2007, 02:40 AM) well i must ask you this first. How long have you been reading F1 Racing Mag? and Autosport mag? Yup thats rite....Kimi has consistenly been covered....nothing particularly Lewis-mania magnitude...but its even and consistent.F1 Racing Nov 06, may 07, april 07, to name a few have Kimi's face on it plus exclusive interviews. You see when Kimi's is at McLaren, he's in a British team. So the mania started long before he signed for Ferrari. Mika had the same also. |

QUOTE(evoHahn @ Oct 22 2007, 02:40 AM) well i must ask you this first. How long have you been reading F1 Racing Mag? and Autosport mag? You two shouldnt be comparing these.F1 Racing Nov 06, may 07, april 07, to name a few have Kimi's face on it plus exclusive interviews. You see when Kimi's is at McLaren, he's in a British team. So the mania started long before he signed for Ferrari. Mika had the same also. Honestly MSC was touted as one of the coming champion by finishing couple of races in points in his first season. What really irk ppl is the situation with Hamilton vs Alonso. Hamilton gets cocky as he starts to get a grip of F1. I would rate him as highly as I did with Kimi, Alonso or MSC. The thing is, that no matter how cocky you are, show some respect to the team and your team-mate. Both Alonso and Hamilton is cocky, I have to say... but one has to be worse than the other. And in this case, I root for Alonso. |

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Oct 22 2007, 02:42 AM) I have not read those mags at all. Then, just like maranello said above your post. Mika had it, Kimi had it and now is Lewis turn being glorified by British press. You think British press back then support Schumi? |

I was just having a bet with my colleague about Kimi winning about a couple of days back. We were both McLaren and Kimi's fans. I stayed with Kimi but he routed for Hamilton. He was so confident Hamilton will win that I can win the bet if either Alonso or Kimi wins the world championship. I guess, I can claim my breakfast at work tomorrow....
So, anyway, I never liked Ferrari and had secretly wished Kimi won the championship with McLaren. However, today's just another day where I see what McLaren can do to their drivers (call it an evil twist of fate if you like). They did it to Hakkinen and Raikkonen before. So to be fair, I think Kimi's win was really payback time to Mclaren... and I pity Hamilton's lost due to the same reasons above. Ironic, don't you think, that so many mishaps had to happen to Hamilton for Kimi to win and yet it happened!! Anyway, it's way past my bedtime and I should sleep before I ramble more... I'm just so happy to claim my breakfast tomorrow ... cheers to all Kimi's fans! |
