QUOTE(rooney723 @ Jul 16 2023, 09:30 PM) im using both samsung and china phone now, my conclusion is samsung phones still win china phones, from build quality to cameras, to OS etc, and have u noticed china phones prices have gone up ridiculously high in the past few years? xiaomi 13 series for example, launched at around the same price as samsung galaxy S series phones, but is it any better than samsung phones? just One UI itself already trash the crappy MIUIs and color OS, and we havent even talk about cameras yet OS wise.. yes, OneUI is way better than crappy MIUI. Xiaomi used to release affordable flagships.. now their flagships demand premium price. Better get apple or samsung.. and it's not because of anything other than MIUI.

Unpopular opinion but I think Huawei's flavour of Android is the best when they still got access to Google
Great performance, minimal battery drain and plenty of features that are actually useful

Of course in /k many people fail to mention samseng commits 5 years security updates for their flagship. Shows you how much awareness for security is out there. China brands 2 years only , more if oneplus

2018-2023 still using Pixel 3. Still lets me go through spreadsheets without hiccups. I do not play video games, although I think it can handle a lot of games well with the SD845, and browsing experience is smooth, video playback really good, and photos still better than most high end mid-rangers now. Since it was a flagship, it's made out of high quality material and flagship IP rating. Calls are exceptional but it really is lacking in the battery department these days...I might try change the battery to avoid having to charge it once a day. And the Google experience is still good... It's out of security updates, and is at Android 12, so you really need to be careful with your information. If I'm going to upgrade, it might be the Pixel 7. Flagship build quality is really important to me, and I'll take a Pixel 5 over any glorified flagship killer.

Kena scammed when bought a Pixel 6, the experience other than taking photos was worse than a typical RM1000 midrange phone
Overheat nonstop Bad battery life Bad cell reception Bad video recording Snail speed charging Bad QC, paint was scrapping off the frame just after 1-2 months I was using it with a fkin case
Most of these issues happened just because fkin Google is using their fkin stupid SOC built on Samsung exynos foundation and foundry
Will never touch a Pixel again unless it's 50% off

QUOTE(kel32 @ Jul 16 2023, 10:00 PM) text input on default idevice need few step for alphabet, number and symbol, even on big s ipad » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « gboard everything easily accessible . idevice will not fully compatible with any 3rd party keyboard installed, making 3rd party keyboard severely crippled Been using SwiftKey for quite some time now. Hard to change to gboard because all my bm short form words and local slang words are stored in it, even my home and office addresses are just few taps away. Recently it got updated with chatgpt built in because Microsoft own them both.

I was shopping for a new phone, trying to decide on one of these; ipong 14, samseng S23, xiaomi 13, or vivo x90. Then 7.7 came, samseng S23 was at RM2,049 after all the discounts and vouchers applied, don't even have to think lol. Was expecting to spend 3-4k, manatau 2k kawtim already. Got snapdragon 8 gen 2, fairly good cameras, ayam syukur and puas.
