Possible, now I see there is an "All New" Hotlink Prepaid Plan for me to switch to from my Hotlink app.

If I go to the shop under hotlink website, I can still see that they are selling new sim pack for hotlink pantas but they seems to purposely hide the info about old prepaid plan like pantas etc. under their home page which they used to do it.

Now can only find such info under faq.

seems like pantas is indeed gone for good.

although the online store still shows the pantas sim pack option but it is not available for purchase actually. when checking out, it will gives prob same for the unlimited prepaid also. only the all-in-one prepaid (new plan) can be purchased now.

maybe can still get pantas simpacks from the stores?

i think it is still possible. so i am going to source for one before they are all gone.

this statement can be always true for any 'currrent' plan which officially there is one hotlink plan now.

i highly doubt this, u should have asked the CS can change from the new hotlink plan back to old pantas plan with 365 validity instead.

in the past, once new plan is out, one can never change back to legacy plan, i highly doubt that this round will be any difference also.

I just bought second hotlink sim card to put on my second phone.

I bought the pantas sim pack but after activation the hotlink app defaulted me to the new hotlink prepaid plan (it got the higher 12mbps speed for rm50 iinm) but the weird thing is it does list the two hotlink pantas monthly plans in it too (the 30GB & 20Gb or 15GB one i forgot).

I still able to change my hotlink plan to pantas inside the app for rm2 charge. What I want is the 365 days validity internet and rm10 per 30 days topup (or rm30 per 365 days) since this is backup phone.

no. now there is no difference anymore becos it only left with one plan which the latest hotlink prepaid plan.

so no wonder u buy from shopee, or shop or maxis centre, when u activate it, it will be the new hotlink prepaid plan.
so no matter where u buy it from, as long as u can MNP, it is fine.

once u are at the new hotlink plan, just switch to pantas 365. i had shared the screenshots on these.

I’m on Bagus WM. I still have the button to switch to Pantas.

But I noticed the HotlinkMU data packages for Pantas are quite more expensive than what I’m paying with Bagus WM.

eg: Bagus WM has 12.5GB/RM18/30D which has lower cash outlay than Pantas’ 37GB/RM37/30D.

Price per GB is cheaper with Pantas but feel like I don’t need 37GB/mo with wifi at home.

Also Bagus WM (this is a super old plan) has Validity365 for RM33. Thoughts?

in addition, Bagus calls more expensive and no cheap/long life internet like pantas. u may enjoy the same 365 validy by paying extra rm3 comparing to pantas. but u have no option to buy data and use forever like pantas with no wastage for as long as 1GB for rm2/2GB for rm4/5GB for rm10 if u are super light user.

12.5GB/mo - if heavy user, i dun think it is sufficient for anyone, likely u need to pay beyond rm18 for one month of usage which will be similar to what u can buy for pantas plan monthly.
now they have promo that u can claim extra data pass of 20gb (free) if u buy 30GB monthly pass at rm35 with unlimited calls (which i believe bagus WM does not have for data pass).

besides, i think bagus WM has pay per use charge if not wrong, meaning if u buy 12.5GB pass and u used up the data, ur account credit will be used for pay per use data charge which is super expensive which i hate this alot. if u go overseas like lion city, u may be charged for unknown data usage if u are on 4G network (overseas - roaming), it is kind of 'handshake' between ur phone and the telco which this incur random charges (maybe just small amount each time), but it will eventually cause all ur available balance to be zero. only way to avoid this is to set ur phone to connect to 3G only while in overseas like lion city and this is super super troublesome, which u need to do it manually before u arrive overeas.

pantas plan is good becos without data pass, u cannot use data at all, which totally no worry of extra charge, even for roaming data charge as well while in overseas. becos without any relevant pass, u just could not use data.

In my screenshot there’s also All-New Hotlink Prepaid Plan can be chosen. Maybe you missed it? Have a look again. Other two are streaming plan and WFH plan which I’m not familar what they are.

I’m not a heavy user so paying RM18/mo for “some data” is better than paying RM37/mo. Even if cost per GB is better with the latter.

Do you have a screenshot of your HotlinkMU and Passes for Pantas plan? Just want to do further comparison.

Oh ya. Missed it out. Now I saw it. Seems like no matter what current plan u are at, they only allow u to switch to one of the 3 other plans. If u compare to mine. U have one plan missing out Becos u have pantas and latest hotlink plan in.

Last time they used to have rm30 for 20gb data for 365 days which is super good for super light user which they combine with 365 validity only pay rm60 per year.

They have hotlinkMU plan of 20GB for rm20 not bad deal which is similar to what yoodo is offering.

What kind of passes u have on bagus wm now?

Here are Bagus WM offerings currently. Not super great but I usually just buy the first one under HotlinkMU unless it's too expensive or I foresee not using X amount of data that month.

no wastage refers to longer internet validity plans (in my screenshot). rm2 per GB across all plan. i think it means as long as ur line is active, the data will forever be there until u finish it. so technically i should rephrase about the rm30 for 20GB u can use the data forever instead of 365 days. the saying of 365 days is to combine with the 365 validity that most will buy, but technically they never expire as long as ur line is not lapse for active period.

yeah rm20 for 20GB is exactly same as yoodo. but it is hotlinkMU pass and not a long term pass so it may appear every time.

correct, bagus WM passes are not so attractive in general, i was on this plan for quite long time, sometimes hotlinkMU may have good and attractive passes but not always. most rm30+ and rm40+ passes come with little data plus no free calls. this makes the pantas plan attractive.

HotlinkMU's offerings indeed are quite hit and miss. So cannot always assume can get XYZ plan every month.

yes, up to rm10 for 5GB (rm2 per GB).

basically this table minus off the 8GB and 20GB options that were removed few months back.

no. it is under one of the pass inside the app (in my previous screenshot), just use the app to click the pass to purchase. very seamless.

bagus WM if not wrong cannot do it under app directly but must via the *100#. and they hide the menu option to buy the 365 validity super deep inside that one can never remember the steps before they reach the exact menu to purchase it.

Yeah, every 6-12 months I purchase validity RM18 or RM33 via *100# under BagusWM.

yes, u can do it with *100# for pantas as well.
simply choose "3 Sim active days" in *100# menu.

p/s: please be noticed, the grace period of pantas is quite short, only 30days, if comparing to BagusWM (90days) or others newer plan (50days)

true. if bagus WM still works for u for ur use case then u can indeed stick to it.

i think the situation for pantas is quite similar to bagus WM which it has become a legacy plan so it is unlikely they will make any changes to the plan. even for new users who activate their hotlink new sim card, it will be on new plan automatically.

I hope so too. I’m inclined to switch to Pantas. Just that I have about 5gb unused data currently which will forfeit after plan switching. Can finish within this week hopefully then Pantas it is.

I'm currently on the Hotlink Unlimited Plan, as shown in the app. I plan to switch to the All-New 5G Pass (Pantas Passes) from the website, which is RM45/month for 75GB. However, when I press the upgrade button in the app for the Pantas Plan, it only shows RM35 for 30GB with Unlimited Calls for 30 days. How do I subscribe to the plan from the website? Do I need to visit a Hotlink store?

Aside from that,

I'm a bit confused about the difference between these two prepaid passes:

1. RM45/mth 75GB (Pantas Pass)
- 50GB (4G/5G) + Bonus 25GB (5G) Internet Pantas
- With 5G Access
- With Hotspot
- Unlimited Calls

For Plan No.1, the 75GB internet has no speed cap, but once it's finished, does that mean there's no internet available?

2. RM45/mth 80GB (Unlimited Internet Pass)
- 80GB Fair Usage Policy @ 6Mbps
- With 5G Access
- 4G/5G Quota
- Unlimited Hotspot
- Unlimited Calls

For Plan No.2, if I activate 5G Access, does that mean the initial 80GB of internet has no speed cap, and after that, I still have unlimited internet but capped at 6Mbps?

Now, my question is, what are the benefits of getting Plan No.1?

From the perspective of a current (old) Pantas Plan user, isn't this (newly launched) current Hotlink Prepaid Plan of yours offers switching between 'Unlimited Internet' AND 'Internet Pantas' categories without changing plans as you intended???

If 'switching' is not provided for, I would be very keen to know it for a fact as I'm currently considering changing plan (and being charged RM5) to this (new) Hotlink Prepaid from the curent (old) Pantas Plan.

This Plan No.2 (of 80GB) is not at extra high speed but capped at 6Mbps.
After FUP limit, it is capped at 512kbps.

The Plan No.2 is capped 5G so called high speed.

Obviously the no 1 pass is a much better pass to use than the no 2 pass.

No, I think it mean, u will get 6Mbps MAX, and the connection speed and quality has no guarantee.
so, u r getting 5GB more than the first package with a MAX speed limited at 6Mbps. [so 4g/5g is not a concern here.. ;-p ]

without any internet pass, u won't be able to using internet normally. Last time I checked, can only visit some of the websites only, not very useful, it is slow and painful.

The 1st package still sounds better, as the current plan still can't reach 30GB data; 75GB is more than enough. With the 1st package, you can also get a much faster speed.
