Hi all,

My parents are moving out of a rented landed house after living a few years. They received written request before moving out.

The landlord asked to clean all including AC and solar panel on roof. I understand AC but I never heard of cleaning solar panel. Is it normal? Solar panel should be cleaned by tenant?

What's the cost of cleaning solar panel? This is a 2-story cluster house.

ya true, AC and panel cleaning were written in Tenancy agreement?
Returning a clean unit is a good behavior to uphold. Clean AC clean Fan clean floor and room.

I know owner will say they would be clean if no use AC, no use Fan....all these are wear and tear...
Then again, is a grey area to ask tenant clean AC and solar panel if they are old/used.

The agreement says "all electrical items at the premise." In Malaysia asking to clean 'solar panel' on roof is unheard of.

Is there any tenant who actually cleaned solar panel on roof because the landlord's request?

Does it use any electricity to generate electricity? If no, tell him you aren't doing it. Else do a police report.
