Hi, I encountered this error when I try to use Google Play to purchase item:

"Couldn't complete transaction. Your Play balance can only be used in Malaysia"

I have used Play Balance before to purchase, now only getting this issue.

I have tried the following:

1. Double check my Google Account region setting, confirmed set to Malaysia
2. Used mobile data
3. Reset my internet
4. Clear cache for Google Play

I have already sent email out to Google Support, so far no reply yet.
Any other suggestions or advice is appreciated, thanks.

Any chance you are on VPN and accessed to a foreign Playstore?

Anyway, if the currency shown is RM then it should be Msia Playstore …
